I booked a shipment with Parcel Monkey (Ref:PM12896270) on 8th April 2025 to send a MacBook Pro worth £2,185.75. I paid an additional £119.03 for insurance cover against loss or damage. Despite declaring the item clearly during booking, Parcel Monkey later dismissed my claim, citing their Restricted Items List and Clause 8 of their Terms & Conditions. However, they deliberately ignored Clause 8.1, which clearly states that liability is excluded only if the item was submitted without their knowledge. I declared the item. Their system accepted it. They charged me for full-value insurance. That constitutes full knowledge and acceptance — yet they denied my claim. Since then, I’ve received repetitive, generic responses, claiming the matter is with the courier. But I booked this service with Parcel Monkey, not the courier. They’ve shown no ownership or urgency, and I’ve had to chase them every step of the way. What’s worse — I’ve now seen several other reviews on Trustpilot describing identical experiences, where customers paid for insurance only to be denied compensation after loss. This recurring pattern suggests a systemic issue in Parcel Monkey’s platform, which allows users to insure restricted items and then hides behind T&Cs to avoid liability. Unless Parcel Monkey resolves my case promptly, I will escalate this to Trading Standards, Citizens Advice, the Financial Ombudsman, and the Small Claims Court. I urge others to be cautious. Their current practices are misleading and deeply unfair.

Do NOT use parcel monkey!! They say it’s cheap and convenient to book a collection or delivery - it is not! I was advised by Amazon (to Amazon, this is an epic fail on your ) to use parcel monkey who are fantastic at taking your money but due to being a third-party the agency between courier services: parcel force, wide world etc.. do not like using them! I have had now three failed attempts to collect a parcel that was supposed to be done on the same day.. 6 days later still no collection service (oh but was charged for it too, no refund yet either)! Absolute scam go direct DO NOT USE THEM!

The parcel was sent back to me, as EVRI said they could not find the delivery address. Resent parcel with parcel force at extra cost to myself. Not impressed as you Parcel Monkey recommend these companies. Which clearly seem to be Monkeys.

Hello, My purple travelling box was picked from my house , have not been find yet, l don’t know how long it will take parcel monkey to get me my package, l will really appreciate it if you can quickly find my purple travelling box and deliver it or bring it back to safety. Asked for the weight and size of parcel no mention of volumetric weight. Paid for the parcel to be shipped to receive an email stating that the weight was wrong by 28kg. Roof spoiler weighed 1.80kg and 2 plastic light covers under 1k and a badge again under 1k. Paid for 5kg. To be told the volumetric weight due to size of parcel should be used but no option when I was putting in for quote.

I booked a delivery via parcel monkey for a chest of draws. The draws were delivered by UPS. They had been dropped from height repeatedly by UPS. The UPS delivery driver acknowledged he had dropped the item and admitted this even taking photos on his iPad and admitting liability on my doorstep. Parcel monkey have refused to resolve. I’m now in total over £280 out of pocket and have a now have a useless chest of draws. I’ve been in business myself for many years and i have to say this is one of the poorest customer service experiences I’ve had. The draws have clearly been dropped from height. Support staff at survey monkey have shown zero understanding, not even attempting to understand the situation. Truly awful customer experience. I would never use again out of principle. I will only use premium courier services in the future following this experience. Given UPS admitted liability on delivery I expect them and survey monkey to reimburse the full cost of the damages.

Drawn-Out, Stressful, and Unprofessional – Still Awaiting Final Resolution My experience with Parcel Monkey over a lost shipment has been nothing short of exhausting. After insuring an Apple iPad Pro for £860, it was lost in transit. Despite fully declaring the item (“APPLE 11" iPadPro MVV83NF/A”) and receiving no warnings from their system, Parcel Monkey initially denied the claim—citing the “Restricted Items List” and conveniently ignoring their own Clause 8.1, which states they are only exempt if such items are submitted without their knowledge. They then tried to blame me for "poor declaration," claiming I only listed it as “Apple 11.” I had to provide screenshots and a commercial invoice to prove otherwise—evidence I fortunately saved because my laptop battery was low at the time of booking. After over a month of back and forth, countless emails, and an unhelpful chat session, I finally received an email saying my claim had been approved in full. Relief? Not quite. The next day, I received another email saying the case was still pending and they were waiting for information from the carrier. How can a claim be approved and still "under review"? I’m told to be patient, yet Parcel Monkey continues to dodge responsibility and send conflicting updates. I’m beyond frustrated. My contract is with Parcel Monkey, not their courier, and any further delay will result in legal action. I’ve held off leaving more reviews, but customers deserve to know what they may face. Proceed with caution.

The main thing for me is that the parcel arrived safely. It was a couple of days later than I thought so I was temporarily a bit worried. It was difficult for me to print out the label.
