We all know how expensive golf clubs can be and how precious they are to the people that own them. So the one thing you want to make sure of when you either gift them as a present or sell them on an auction site such as eBay is that they arrive safe and secure.
Currently, we allow the shipping of golf clubs via our network of courier partners including the likes of Parcelforce, DPD, UK Mail, DX and City Sprint around the UK, or if you need to ship them out for a holiday or you live overseas for part of the year we can also help using our international parcel delivery services.
Although when they're used on a golf course they're incredibly tough, when they pass through the courier services there is still a chance of damage. This is why we provide our customers with extensive guidance on packaging their items properly.
Measure up the golf club before you get any packaging as a box that is too short is no good. You can purchase specialist golf shipping boxes from eBay - and it is worth buying a few boxes if you sell a lot of clubs or have an expensive one to ship.
If you are sending long parcels abroad that contain golf clubs, you might need to complete Customs Documents and print them out and attach them securely to the outside of the box in a clear plastic wallet or envelope.
Obviously, every set is different, but if you're looking to send a full range of quality clubs with a golf bag too then, you'll be looking at a fairly large and heavy parcel so all you need to do is enter the dimensions of the box and the weight into our quote engine to access the best prices.
However, if you're looking at a set of irons, appropriately packaged and without a bag then you will be looking at a box weighing approx 10kg. We have UK domestic services for 10kg boxes from under £10 with Parcelforce, but obviously, your dimensions will impact on the price.
We not only see golf clubs being posted that have been sold online, many golfers when travelling prefer to send the clubs ahead of time to the course. It makes life easier if travelling through an airport if they have been sent to the resort ahead, or even on UK golf trips, it saves the stress of being squeezed in a car with your fellow golfers and their equipment.
You can book a collection from your home or work address and the courier can take them to the course ahead of your tee time. However, you will need to leave plenty of time for delivery as couriers can deliver anytime from 8 am to 6 pm, so get them sent well ahead of playing.
You can also have golf clubs collected from another address like a golf course you have played and have them sent back to your home address, some of the courier services don't even require a printer as the courier may bring along the label.
