Booking online for the parcel to be collected from my work place in Portsmouth, UK, I was texted before hand to say when they would arrive to collect the parcel all went smoothly. The problem has been in France, the parcel still has not arrived, the person who it was being delivered too has also been tracking it and has been in to receive it. One message he received was that they had tried but no one was in, the other was has been delivered but he hasnt yet received it, still ongoing. I was informed when I booked the to have the parcel delivered that it would take two days it is now 7 days, so far.

I sell shelves through eBay and always use a competitor to send my parcels cause it was the first I used and was very reasonable and reliable. I was aware of your service and was toying with switching then an opportunity arose when a customer requested a quote which I couldnt gain from my usual service as they didnt deliver to that address. I entered the address on this service and got a quote for £16. I relayed this to the customer and they paid this amount. I created the shelf and when ready to send entered the same details in the system followed the same low quote and then on passing a number of screens the price doubled to £32! I had an issue here because I had made the shelves and also promised a send by date. I had to send this and lose my profits. This is an absolute disgrace of a service and I will not use this again nor promote this service.

The PF source was prompt with the 24 hour service BUT...
Parcelmonkey did not provide PF labels and to add insult to injury nor did parcelforce when they turned up - the collecting driver did have have any docs, receipt etc with him other than the collect lists.
In this sense the service was poor.

Parcel Monkey along with Ascendia instead of my shipment.recently delivered a farce, I ordered delivery to America for an eBay purchase, I printed off all documents and attached as instructed. Parcel was collected, no issues raised by the collecting driver.... 4 weeks later, I am chased for an update from the recipient (this was an eBay sale of £225 of motorcycle equipment), so I check the PARCEL MONKEY tracking facility, which tells me it has been delivered. I check again.. yes, it says it has been DELIVERED, alongside details of the SEVERAL stages it has travelled from the UK to the USA.... So I write to the buyer and ask him to confirm he has not received it. I also write to Parcel Monkey (you cant call, they dont have a telephone service, which is extremely unhelpful when things go wrong). I ask Parcel Monkey to provide proof of delivery, a signature for receipt etc. They reply back a day later saying they are chasing the Ascendia for this proof. A day later, Parcel Monkey tell me that my parcel has gone missing, that it was NOT in fact delivered. They tell me to open a compensation claim and to provide proof of sale, which I then do. The day after that, they write to me to tell me that they have found my item, but that it has been sent back to the UK. No explanation. I ask for clarification as to why both the tracking system AND one of PMs staff told me the item had been delivered. No reply. Still no reply. By now I am angry. I ask for an explanation and for the whereabouts of my parcel. A day later, they tell me the parcel was sent back to the UK "because there was no invoice attached". I KNOW that I attached the invoice and ALL required paperwork and point out that it is strange how this is only revealed as the source of the problem weeks after the parcel was collected from my home and seemingly was OK enough for the collection driver. So, I have £225 deducted from my Paypal account, NO PARCEL and NO EXPLANATION. You are correct that when using our website your contract is with us, but you are selecting services via 3rd party couriers, and the Parcel Monkey website site is used to reduce the costs of these services with the couriers. I have used Parcelmonkey a few times now. Each time, I have ended up sending things via Parcelforce, but for half the price or less of going direct to Parclforce direct; exactly the same service but far, far cheaper. No problems so far, but it would be nice if I could get a proof of posting when I send with them, rather than having to wait until the website shows the parcel as received by courier.

I used these clowns as a way to courier an item to Africa, thinking they were going to be hassle-free and reliable (ha! what a joke that turned out to be)! My parcel was picked up on Monday by a Yodel courier that Parcel Monkey booked for me. The courier took the parcel and now it appears either he has stolen it or someone else in Yodel has (as Parcel Monkey reckon my parcel has completely vanished into thin air after it was collected from me)! I emailed these fools, got a very lazy and "not bothered" reply which implied that my parcel was lost and Parcel Monkey were not prepared to do anything about it!!!! I replied back to this message nearly (if not, over) 24 hours ago now and Im still awaiting a reply!!! Parcel Monkey know that im livid and am eager to get this matter resolved but clearly they do not care as my emails have just been ignored. What kind of customer service do you call this??!!!!! The worst thing about this is, Parcel Monkey are telling me the parcel is lost and Yodel are telling me the parcel has now been delivered, so someone is clearly lying to me. When I have asked Yodel for information about my own parcel, they pass the buck and tell me to contact Parcel Monkey as my contractual agreement is with these guys, so Yodel cannot divulge information to me, even though im the bloody sender! It is very frustrating when two companies like Yodel and Parcel Monkey play around with their customers parcels and dont even want to take responsibility for situations like mine like providing their customers with a decent resolution, better still, a phone number that you can actually speak to an actual person on!!! My parcel was supposed to be delivered first to an international courier called Asendia in Hounslow, but according to the tracking information I have just seen, the parcel has been delivered to a Southampton home address!!! It begs the question, what the hell is going on!!!! To add insult to injury, 3 guys at Yodel have assured me since yesterday my parcel has not been lost in transit, but that it went to the wrong depot, so all it needed was an extra day or so to get to the right depot then it will be delivered. Well, it has been delivered alright.....but in Southampton!! My guess is that my parcel has been mixed up with another in transit and so now I have no idea where my parcel is, it may be at this Southampton address, it may not be.... The old saying applies....you get what you pay for....this is the first and last time Im using these *****s...but im not letting this matter drop until I get my parcel (or my recipient gets the parcel) or im compensated for all this nonsense.!!!! Stick to the top dogs in this courier business (Courier, TNT, FEDEX, UPS) etc....who actually know what the the hell theyre doing and actually give a damn about their customers and will strive to help them, unlike these jokers!!!! Im hoping someone at Parcel Monkey sees this review and actually gets involved and offers to help me sort this rubbish out, because emailing them alone on their website, evidently is of no use!

Good website to compare various providers for sending parcels. Easy to navigate and clear pricing and options. Booked my parcel to be collected and paid for 48 hour service (with Parcelforce 48 express). Parcel collected next day, receipt given. However, parcel was not delivered within the 48 hour window promised and caused a problem at delivery address as was a signed for service. Queried this anomaly with Parcelforce, they informed me my problem was with Parcelmonkey, not them. Parcelmonkey said, guess what, Parcelforce were responsible as they delivered the service. The cost of this was £49, no small amount, and I expect them to deliver what they promise to and for someone to take responsibility when things go wrong!

I ordered a next day service for a bulky item with DX freight through Parcel Monkey, the parcel was declared lost after 2 days and what resulted was a customer service headache that lasted 5 weeks. Parcel Monkey struggled to get details from the courier and its depots as to where the parcel was. It was left to me to prompt Parcel Monkey to reply to my messages. Today I agreed compensation for 50% of the items value - which I have reluctantly accepted through sheer frustration. My first time using Parcel Monkey will be my last. Pay peanuts, get parcel monkey

I have had an email asking me to do this review. In the last few days, I have had 3 different deliveries from different companies and on none could I see reference to Parcel Monkey. I presume one was booked through them. Of the parcels I received, one was a day before I expected it, one was the stated day, and one was 2 days after the specified day. If it is the one which was 2 days late then the score of 3 stars is probably right, for the other ones it is probably a 5, so on the basis that this email was so badly addressed as it didnt state which parcel it was for, I have gone with the lowest score and deducted a further 1 for a badly worded request for this survey.

I found the service easy to understand and the personel helpful and friendly. My one concern was that the goods I was sending were fragile and might be damaged so I made sure there was plenty of padding and, judging by the feedback they seem to have arrived safely. I would advise anyone sending such items to overpad them just in case.
