I booked a pick up by DPD from a drop off location in London to Southampton via ParcelMonkey (PM). The day I dropped it I chatted with PM to make sure it would be picked up on Friday and delivered on Monday. Result: the parcel was still at the drop-off location 13 days after booking and despite various emails and chats. PM said three times that they had contacted DPD or that the parcel had left, but that was obviously not correct since the parcel had not moved from the drop-off location in thirteen days. I had to reimburse my customer as he had enough of hearing my apologies for the bad service offered by ParcelMonkey and DPD. Now after one month, I keep asking for a call from a manager both from DPD and PM. Both reject the fault on the other. I even contacted PMs CEO. This has not make things happen. Furthermore DPD Make it Right team told me that I can not get the help of the Ombudsman because it is a shipment which is more than £1 value and 350 grams. I mentioned in various messages messages via PM website that I had moved out and therefore I can not get my parcel any longer. That was over 2 weeks after the booking. Despite those messages they attempted to deliver to my former address three times. They do not read the messages. Be aware. I am very upset as I feel like I have been thieved. The item I sent had a £125 value and they just offered to have the £8.02 paid for the service reimbursed. The problem with this company is that you do not have any phone number. You always either chat or leave a message on their website. And they do not act. They stay still. I spent over £250 with them prior to this experience. They were damaged but I did not loose them. Very sour experience.

I posted a parcel to Germany on a Friday. Collection was right on time, 2 minutes after earliest collection time (one hour window). It arrived at depot in Germany on Tuesday, it was over the weekend, so no problem there. DPD attempted to deliver on Tuesday - having given me a 2hr window for delivery. Nobody was available to receive it so they attempted to deliver it to a collection point in Frankfurt, near to the delivery address. Apparently the package was too big to be left at a collection point. It is due to be delivered to the recipients work place today, Thursday, fingers crossed! Great service DPD, well done for persistence.

Easy to use, swift collection from my home and Im told delivery was made the other end first thing in the morning (even though Id only paid for delivery by midday). Would definitely use again.

I made the mistake of sending my goods via Parcelmonkey, even booking insurance to make sure I was on the safe side should anything happen. My parcel got picked up, however, it remained in the depot instead of being delivered. When I asked why it had not been sent out yet, they offered to return it to the address where they picked it up. Why would I want the parcel to be returned to me, the sender, as opposed to the delivery address? I told them to finally get my parcel to the delivery address and thats when they managed to lose it (or rather DPD for that matter). I spent months communicating with both Parcelmonkey and DPD. They claimed that they had been looking for it, however, it was officially declared lost in the end. Compensation was not paid (despite me paying for insurance). What can I say, the experience has been a nightmare. Never again.

Easy and convenient. I was returning a large set of roofbars that Id ordered in error to a retailer and they wanted me to arrange shipping. ParcelMonkey was actually a little bjt cheaper than going direct through ParcelForce and also was better because their process seems to be particularly easy to use.

Parcel collected on the next day, delivered within 5 days. Great pricing. Would recomment to anybody shipping across the Europe.

easy to digest the range of options. You need to work out which is better for you: to drop off the parcel, or to have it picked up. Pick up seems great, but may mean youre hanging around all day - or you ll have to leave it at the door. But the choice is, at the end of the day, yours to make. Rob R

An excellent service. I would definitely use them again. The only reason for four stars is that it would be great to know what time of day the parcels are collected and delivered. It saves having to wait in all day. But still use this service again.

I used parcel monkey to send a heavy parcel, an item I sold on eBay.
I dont have a printer to print out certain labels that some couriers use.
It gave me a list of couriers which didnt require a print out, easily set up delivery & payment and the parcel was collected the following day.

Thank you very much for your excellent 5 * service! My parcel was collected on a Thursday in England and the Monday it was delivered in the morning in Cape Town, South Africa! Very good rates, very happy. I will most definitely use the service again! I have tried a few companies now over the past 3 years and hands down, you guys are the best!

We have used these guys for about a year, sending large items. We have used parcelforce from the start without problems... but recently tried DPD. We dropped 2 parcels off at the DPD drop off point, expecting them to be collected the next day. Turns out it was 7 days before they were collected... I have wasted over 2 working days trying to fix this issue and Ive been constantly lied to from the start by customer service reps from Parcel Monkey. DPD said its Parcel Monkeys job to inform them they have parcel booked, this was not done. It took 5 days of me contacting them every few hours to make this happen. Not only this but parcel monkey does not have a call center, you have to talk to them through a stupid live chat box... madness. Ive not even received an apology for this. They have made us look like *****s to our customers. Every other time we have used them has been fine, but this experience of when something actually went wrong has really annoyed us. We will not be using them again. When it works, its good. When it goes wrong, parcel monkey are absolutely useless. Its worth paying the extra £2 or whatever and go to the companies like Parcel Force and DPD as you know they will do the job right and have competent support staff if anything does go wrong.

Parcel was meant to be collected on the 17th of September but it was only Collected on the 22nd. I received a bad review on eBay from my buyer because of Parcel Monkey and ParcelForce. Very unprofessional service.

UK to Abu Dhabi in 4 days for a very reasonable figure. Was really very surprised and pleased. I will not hesitate to use them again. If there is a "but".... I did have problems printing the parcel slip and tried to send an email /contact Parcel Monkey but clearly that is not an easy feat - and I got no reply. Someone else solved the problem for me but I did wonder how one would contact then if there was an issue.

I needed a kitchen unit picked up from Wickes in the Midlands to be delivered to my home in Glasgow. I arranged this in minutes online, received a confirmation email and parcel label in minutes. The price was fantastic. Parcel Force 48hr delivery and able to track my unit the whole way. Great service!

Using Parcel Monkey is so quick and easy! Im only giving 4 stars as Parcelforce were late in delivering and I wasnt sure who to contact in NZ to find out where it was. But this was more Parcelforce rather than Parcel Monkey. I would use Parcel Monkey again.

I selected the DPD Drop Off Service which was advertised as having delivery to customer within 1-2 days. I dropped off my parcel to the drop on a Sunday and expected the customer to have it by Tuesday latest. It got to Thursday and the customer still hadnt received the parcel. I logged the query with Parcel Monkey who did not offer much assistance apart from checking the tracking. In the end it got to Saturday where my customer was not happy at not receiving the parcel where he logged a complaint with me and was ready to cancel the order full stop. I ended up having to call DPD myself to investigate the issue which involved me called DPD and spending 20mins on the phone investigating. Then called the drop off point and then recalling DPD which all in all took one hour. In the end my customer did not receive his parcel until Tuesday. A delivery more than 1 week late. In the end I refunded my customer what he paid for postage to appease him. I requested Parcel Monkey to do the same for what I paid for the inconvenience and lack of help they offered me but they refused advising they do not offer refunds for delivered items. This bearing in mind delivery was made more than 1 week later on a service which was advertised as being 1-2 days. Customer Services and Claims Teams "apologise" a lot but they dont actually look into the issue at hand and the responses you receive back are a waste of time. Will not be using Parcel Monkey ever again - there are much better companies out there.
