Look at this log to work out what Parcel Monkey can be like: You Thank you for your response. In light of your response, this will be the one and only occasion that I will use your service and I will specifically seek out reviews to show publicly how poorly your company treats its customers. You failed to notify me of the legal requirement for a South African ID to be included when I booked online. Your agent (or you) rang the recipient over six days after collecting the parcel from my home. When I enquired as to the whereabouts of the parcel you told me you had lost it. The parcel was flown out of the UK 8 days after you collected it. When I complained you told me that the delay was because the ID was not entered on the customs sheet, ignoring the fact that you had not asked for it, had called the recipient six days after collection and then lost the parcel. You then located it and, for a sum close to £50, took over 10 days to deliver the parcel. I have printed this web page to file so that I can copy and paste it into reviews. Yours Henry Thursday 29th October 2015 at 10:52 Brandon I am very sorry to hear about your item being so delayed, now although the mistake was clearly with the couriers I have to inform you that they were still within their service agreements for collection and delivery. Many of our terms mimic the couriers so for simplicities sake please take note of the following three terms. 8.5. The Company shall not be liable for late deliveries unless there is valid evidence of a period of 5 working days from the date the goods were scheduled to be delivered on. 8.6. The Company shall not be liable for late collections unless there is valid evidence of a period of 5 working days from the date the goods were scheduled to be collected on. 8.7. The Company disclaims all liability for any consequential loss arising from, or in connection with, the Services supplied by The Company and its Agents. For the purpose of this Agreement, Consequential loss shall include, but not be limited to (i) Pure economic loss (ii) Loss of profits (iii) Losses incurred by any third party (iv) Loss of revenue (v) Loss of goodwill and reputation (vi) Loss of opportunity (vii) Loss of work. I am sorry I could not be of more assistance on this matter. Kind regards, Brandon Thursday 29th October 2015 at 10:32 You Dear Alyssa I am afraid that your claim that the ID number is a new requirement is not correct. Here is a UPS link that states: "South Africa: Importer Code or ID Number|As of September 1st, 2012 South Africa customs requires your ID Number for all shipments being imported into South Africa up to ZAR25000. For shipments with a value of greater than ZAR25000, importers are required to register with South Africa customs to obtain an importer code. i-parcel policy is to obtain that information prior to export to allow us to clear your parcel quickly upon arrival in South Africa. No additional fees are assessed with fulfilling this requirement and it is used for customs clearance purposes only." As I stated previously, the one week delay to flying this parcel out is not satisfactory and I want compensating for this. Kind regards Henry Wednesday 28th October 2015 at 9:04 Alyssa Hello Henry, The requirement to provide for the recipients SA ID number was recently implemented. We will make sure this information is made clear on our website. Kind regards, Alyssa Wednesday 28th October 2015 at 8:30 You Dear Alyssa, This was what the recipient told me, that she had been asked for this ID number but she said that she had never been asked for this before. The ID number wasnt required for a previous parcel that I sent a month ago via Courier that she received within 2 days (door-to-door) and neither was the necessity for this number made clear to me when I booked the delivery service. Furthermore, she wasnt phoned until Sunday, 6 days after the parcel had been collected, to ask for this detail. If this is an essential import requirement under SA law then it should be made clear when the booking formalities for destination are requested on your website. What is not good enough is for there to be a one week delay on a courier service item. Kind regards Henry Wednesday 28th October 2015 at 8:10 Alyssa Hello Henry, Your parcel was held at the depot as the recipients South African ID number has to be included in the customs invoice for the shipment to be processed for export. Kind regards, Alyssa Wednesday 28th October 2015 at 3:45 You Dear Alyssa I have looked at the tracking information, but what happened between last Monday and yesterday? For an entire week the parcel was missing and presumably stationary because it was only received at London Heathrow on its way to the E. Midlands yesterday at 3 in the afternoon - seven days after it was collected! What happened to the speedy courier service that I paid for? This parcel still hasnt been received by the intended recipient, though it may well arrive tomorrow, but that will be nine days door to door. I really feel that the company that dealt with this parcel before Courier should send me a cheque for 50% of the parcel cost to compensate me and the recipient for the additional calls that we have had to make just to try and discover whether the parcel had been received or not. Yours Henry Tuesday 27th October 2015 at 16:54 Alyssa Hello Henry, UF5894186 We have checked your shipment and this was sent on with Courier under the tracking number 3887681571, and you may use the link below to track this: Should you have other concerns, please let us know. Kind regards, Alyssa Tuesday 27th October 2015 at 1:22 Jason Hello, I have just spoken with the courier, they have carried out searches but have so far been unable to locate your goods. Now although the actual fault lies with the couriers I am passing this straight over to our Claims Department here at Parcel Monkey. I must apologise on behalf of the courier agent, I am very sorry about all of this and do hope that it will not stop you from using the Parcel Monkey Price Comparison Services in the future. They will be in contact with you shortly to process your claim with a view to arranging appropriate compensation on its successful completion. Kind regards, Jason Monday 26th October 2015 at 12:41 Eina Hello, Please be advised that unfortunately, we only have email services as we do not have a call centre yet. I have contacted the courier company in charge of this parcels delivery they are looking into this at the moment. As soon as they come back to me with some information - I will contact you directly. Apologies for any inconvenience caused but I will do everything I can to try to rectify this situation for you ASAP. Kind regards, Eina Friday 23rd October 2015 at 12:06

Everthing is okay, fast and safety delivery. thy.

Parcel Monkey reduces the level of service guarantee than is offered by the delivery companies themselves. Best to avoid this middleman and go direct. Will not use again.

I have used Parcel Monkey several times.
Website is really easy to use.
Choice of carrier and pickup or drop off.
Reasonable prices.
Good tracking.
Non of the horrible problems I previously had with Royal Mail / La Poste (in France) and much fairer prices.

Really great service. Easy to organise online using Parcel Monkey website. Parcel collected from home and delivered safely in New Zealand five days later. Couldnt be happier!

Very straight forward to use the site, lots of choice and always the cheaper option to post a parcel

This was the first time I had used a home collection parcel company.
I was very impressed by the service from start to finish.
I wont hesitate to use them again.

Sent heavy parcel to Spain, whole thing went very smoothly.
Good price too !

Envelope (A4size) still not delivered after 9 working days! Poor communication, can not actually talk to anyone! Would not use or recommend, better to spend £2 more and delivery, fully tracked in 3-4 days.

easy site to use!

The site was easy to use and helpful with postage tracking. Questions posted were answered very quickly - unlike many sites.

Parcel monkey was easy to use, did what it said on the tin and the resulting collection and delivery exceeded SLAs. Delighted with the service, will be using it again to compare costs etc.
I can 100% recommend this service.

My first experience of a "drop off" process for despatch.
Using my postcode, I selected the nearest convenient collection point (Halfords). No details of pick-up times at the site, so a day was needlessly added to the journey elapsed time because Id missed the collection for the day by 30 minutes. Had I known, catching the earlier collection would have been easy.
First attempt at delivery showed "Cannot locate" on tracker page. The "what can I do next" function did not work - it insisted that I provide a postcode where none was available (Southern Ireland destination). Found a phone number for the relevant delivery DPD depot (identified on tracker page, phone number googled) and the nice lady there (Laura) took down the destination phone number and the parcel was delivered at second attempt. That destination phone number was not clearly requested in the order placement process. Perhaps it should have been.

ITEM COLLECTED BY PARCEL FORCE AROUND 3PM ON 24 HOUR SERVICE. DELIVERED AND SIGNED FOR IN NORTHERN IRELAND BY 1PM THE FOLLOWING DAY. EXCELLENT.

DK are usually good but 2 different deliveries booked for collection were not picked up. When I emailed parcel monkey recollection was only booked for 1 pick up so driver wouldnt take both I had to chase again

They did exactly what they said they would do, which is quite rare among courier services Ive found.

My parcel was not collected on Thursday. I stayed at the office until 6 to wait for it. I was told the parcel would be collected the next day. Again it was not collected. The parcel was urgently required by our colleagues in Beirut at the Australian Embassy. These multiple delays impacted us heavily. I spoke to Jimmy at Parcel Monkey twice regarding this. Both times he gave a pre-written line of we are not the courier. If parcel monkey are facilitating business they should take an active interest in the service provided by the couriers and not shirk responsibility. Putting all the onus on me to sort out your and Parcel Forces mistakes is lazy. Take ownership of the services you are facilitating/providing. The couriers service reflects on you.
