I accidentally left my carry on bag in the boot of my hire car when I returned it before leaving the town. When I contacted the car company they suggested I organise a courier to collect my bag and bring it to my new location. I looked online and contacted one company who quoted around £150.00 todo the job. I just ignored that as being a ridiculous amount and looked for another option. I found Parcel Monkey and got a very reasonable quote which I accepted and booked and paid for. I didnt hear anything more and thought, "Looks like Im never going to see that bag again."
Imagine my surprise when, on checking out, the receptionist said that I had a parcel to pick up. My bag had arrived! The only fault with Parcel Monkey was the lack of communication, but they got the job done for a very reasonable price. Thank you.

Couldnt use parcel monkey as it needed a mobile telephone number and Amazon wont give you one and the company I was returning it to only had a landline number

Bit of confusion as to wether i need to print label or not ! first i was to receive an email with label to print in half and hour , but four hours later and it didnt arrive , so contacted parcel monkey the told me the driver would bring one with him , the following day got email saying had to print a label so i printed it off and put it on the parcel, then the driver turned up with a label ! But apart from that the parcel arrive in around a week as stated and in the same condition it left the uk , so yes i will use them again and would recommend them to other people. good price to !

Quick, easy and great way to allow me to bid competitively on eBay item that was posted as "collection only". Got parcel dimensions from seller, put it into this engine and got a great quote for a courier to pick up the parcel and deliver to me. Awesome!

The delivery time stated on the comparison page wasnt met by the actual courier and when queried was just given an apology for the goods being delayed and a quote from Couriers website.

collected on time by helpful and friendly driver and delivered when promised. This is about the 5th time I have used parcel monkey and so far there have been no problems at all unlike some other companies that I will not name.

In a nutshell, the search algorithm seems to work well and the website is easy to use, sadly that is where the positives end. Failed collection, false information coming from the customer service dept. despite multiple emails, courier arriving on a day when i was specifically told they would not be able to come. Re-organizing my work week around the parcel monkey affiliated pickup services was a complete waste of time. Wlhen I asked what they would do to compensate they refused to respond.

As a first time customer I was a bit apprehensive using parcel monkey especially since there were quite a few negative reviews online. However the price for the service was considerably lower than what we normally use and then package we were sending didnt contain anything super precious so we thought it was worth a shot.
I was definently not left disappointed! The package was collected from the house, the very next day (after having paid and placed the order the previous evening ) by dpd. We even received an hour window so nobody had to sacrifice a day at home waiting around and dpd came at the earliest end of that window.
There was tracking throughout and once the package was in France, the French company who took over also maintained excellent correspondence.
The package was delivered on the day it was predicted and that too at the earliest end of the predicted time.
End result: a super value service and a very pleased customer!!! Well done parcel monkey and dpd, would recommend this service to anyone.

When it works, the Parcel Monkey system would be great. When it goes wrong, the chain of communication, from oneself as sender, Parcel Monkey as consignor and the courier company doing the delivery, is just too long and too open to missed messages and error. Parcel Monkey need to correct this by providing more customer service staff and opening a phone line!

Parcel Monkey are cheap but there is a reason for this . They use other courier companys to pick up your parcel . In my case they used a company called Yodel . Yodel lost my parcel and by the time Parcel Monkeys complaints team had swung into action (if they ever did) my parcel was well and truly lost , it was never recovered . Moral : Never use companies who use Yodel (go to You Tube for more info about them) and dont under insure your parcel as I did to save money . Make sure you have an invoice or receipt for your parcel because if you dont have one and something goes wrong youll never get a penny out of them . Better still cough up the extra and use a decent company if your parcel is really important to you .

Made payment, but no confirmation email with details came through, despite payment being taken from my account. I have no had my parcel picked up, and have made several attempts to speak to the company about a refund and I have received no correspondence.

Parcel not collected on day requested. Collection rearranged but was again not scheduled, when I contacted parcel monkey I got no help at all and instead it was suggested it as my fault as I had missed the driver (this was not the case as I had left the parcel at a 24 hour concierge). Instead I had to contact parcel force myself (Parcel Monkeys website asks you not to make all queries direct to them). I found It had my collection had again not been scheduled so if I had not called it would not have been collected at all.
