I used this company and chose Courier. My parcel was tampered and external sturdy box was damaged during the transit and while it went back to the local Depot in Liverpool. Eventually it was delivered to the recipient however the label was changed from 2.4kg to 1kg and parcel was damaged and stolen the content of the parcel. Parcel Monkey (Jag) from claims department message me stating because the parcel was delivered therefore no claim will be given and they will close the case! Parcel content costs £300 I pid extra for insurance and but no point of paying insurance because it’s useless. No further investigation was made. PLEASE BE CAREFUL AND THINK ABOUT IT BEFORE USING THIS COMPANY. I WILL NEVER USE THEM AGAIN.

More a reflection of Courier which it turns out is actually two different companies in the uk - our usual Courier driver said the pick up was a totally different company that used to be UK mail.

1) I am used to the forms for giving sender and recipent address details now, but they are not the easiest. You can only use letters, numbers and spaces, and not signs like "/" or "-" which are commonly used for blocks of flats (e.g. floor level, flat number) on some countries. If the local delivery postman understands them, why cant Parcel Monkey allow them? Just about every other online form can accept symbols that are on your keyboard. And the space provided is quite short, not enough for longer street names of an institution. So you end up often giving an incomplete address. Will your packet get there? A worry. 2) The rates for sending parcels abroad are cheaper than Royal Mail, however parcels within the UK maybe not much different, remember that Royal Mail are advertised at a flat rate whereas Parcel Monkey seem to add VAT at the end on top of the price first quoted. You can normally choose from a range of carriers, i.e. Royal Mail or others. Its up to you which you choose and how reliable they are. So this review just covers the part controlled by Parcel Monkey : booking on the form, and the price. I understand their price depends on what price they can obtain, but Parcel Monkey should really redesign their booking form, to allow writing in the full and correct address for delivery.

DELIVERED THE PARCEL THEN CHARGE EXTRA £52 AFTER ALREADY PAYING £19, CLAIMING IT WAS OVERWEIGHT WHEN THERE OW DETAILS FOUND IT UNDER WEIGHT, ABSOLUTE RIP OFF AND NO WHERE TO COMPLAIN.

If a carrier makes a mistake / error then Parcelmonkey will not even attempt to investigate the situation and will simply rebill you for the extra charges, even when it is crystal clear that the retrospective charges were nothing to do with the item sent and clearly to do with another package. In our case our item was weighed and checked with another larger parcel and we were rebilled for a much bigger parcel than we sent. Parcel monkey are not interested, not matter how clear the paperwork shows that the sender of the parcel was not us, and infact was sent from China when we are in the UK. You are better off having your own account so you can dispute a problem, if you use parcel monkey there is no dispute process, they have complete control over your bank card and can recharge you whatever they like, so use at your own risk.
