Very clear instructions - measure, weigh. Fill in delivery instructions then you get a list of deliveries companies, you choose then ‘click’ the right one for you. Dropped off at local drop off point - very easy. Thank you.

Poor service, booked parcelforce 24hr, none came to pick up the parcel. At 18:00 spoke to parcel monkey who said if its past six they wont be coming, will have to rearrange. No call, No information. Very poor communication. BEWARE! Do not use in the future if you need a parcel sent urgently.

Booked Courier next day delivery - label never arrived, or any confirmation email - I only knew something was wrong because I logged into the account where I was told "there is a problem." I then had to get it resent via chat. Then the package was never collected from a 24 hour reception, despite phone numbers being sent. I was never even notified of this. I then had to rebook the delivery also through this ridiculous chat feature. Why not have a phone number like any other reputable company? Appalling service.

I am totally dismayed that Parcel Monkey does not have proper communication in place to communicate to customers why they will not call the owner of the parcel or explain reasons why product since last week Thursday I paid for is still remaining where it is. This is not the first time that there is a delay in collection. Since last weeks Friday, I have been expecting a call as to why the package for collection is yet to be collected or why no call.

This is a good service. I regularly travel to Portugal for trekking and so need a large luggage pack for my walking kit. Instead of paying an airline around £30 for hold luggage I send my bag in advance by Parcelmonkey. It’s picked up at my door and delivered to my destination, so no need to haul a bag to the airport nor from the arrival airport to my location, I can travel with just a day pack and everything arrives as planned.
Three issues:
The size and weight restrictions out and return are not the same. They seem to be set by local regulations. It seems you can send bigger parcels out from the UK but only smaller ones back to the UK. So check on the maximum sizes each way and ensure you meet all the requirements in both directions!
Some countries provide a 1 hour pick up / delivery slot which is really useful. This operates for pick ups and deliveries in the UK, however, Portugal gives you a 1 hour delivery slot but not a 1 hour pick up slot, which can be difficult. There are drop off locations, which if the place is convenient, are better options.
Also, although the offer says 3 days, that is optimistic. First it excludes weekend deliveries, fair enough, but it usually takes a day or two longer. I delivered my last parcel to a drop off location at 14:00 on a Tuesday in Portugal and it arrived the following Monday, so six calendar days or four working days, even excluding the Tuesday.
Highly recommended if your arrangements are flexible but ensure you are flexible as it may cause problems if you’re working to a tight schedule.
