customer /buyer failed to mention damage in transit within 24hrs and therefrore your terms and conditions did not allow me to claim.

Our Response: That is correct. The item needs to be inspected on delivery and any claim made within 24hrs. Otherwise we are open to abuse from orders that are broken at a later point in time.

Get Driver to give a printed receipt for collection rather than rely on customer having to ask fo handwritten signature as proof.

Good idea but this is something that would have to be developed by the courier's themselves.
