I used Parcel Monkey for the first time in August 2017. The parcel arrived 7 days later than the estimate provided by them, and their support team was not responding during the 7 days and did not provide me with a tracking number which I asked multiple times, but that wasnt all! When the package arrived I had to collect it personally from a post office, instead of arriving at the address, but that wasnt all! When I went there I found out why, they wanted to charge me more than 10 times the amount of customs that I actually had to pay. They declared the value of my parcel to be £500, more than 10 times the real value of my parcel. I declared the value of the items in my parcel item by item via their website. The total value of all the items was exactly £48.50. The Parcel Monkey website generates a Pro-Forma Invoice automatically and I printed it and included in a pouch attached to the box as required by them. But still for some reason they declared my package to Customs at the destination to be £500 and the customs issued me with a tax invoice more that 10 times the actual value. I contacted Parcel Monkey via their websites customer support, sending them at least 28 messages from August until November. Often a totally new person responded to my messages, they had no clue of the problem and hence often gave paradoxical and wrong responses in conflict with each other and prior conversations. On 30th of August they said: "We will be rectifying this as the invoice was incorrectly valued from here, I will inform you as soon as I have been informed of the steps that will be taken to refund your customer" I just waited and waited for an update, and after sending many message and asking for an update, they told me to wait and they are handling it. Suddenly on October the 18th I received this message: "Due to the length of time that passed, it is unlikely that we will be able to recalculate the duties." After complaining that this is not my fault, I have been asking for an updated and you kept telling me to wait. They told me on the same day (18th of October): "Kindly bear with us for some time more, we are doing our best to expedite on this matter for you. We will update you immediately as soon as we hear from the courier." And a dozen messages later on 30th October 2017 they told me: "Unfortunately the agent confirmed that this cannot be changed." I am now forced to pursue this dispute legally. So unless you want to risk having issues like this, wasting your time and getting stuck with this kind of customer support, I would NOT recommend them.

Good service overall. I would have rather for the parcel to be picked up but was given a 7h window which I find extremely excessive to wait around for, so would have been better if at least would have been a 3h or so...

Have used Parcel Monkey a few times in the last month or so for various items, some small but some very large and heavy. Cannot fault the easy to use site and the promptness of the delivery labels which have been emailed. Very impressed!

I would recommend this company to anyone. They compare the market and give you a choice of prices. Item was collected the same day and delivery was signed for and easily tracked

They are a dishonest company who will scam you! They are in it to make a quick buck and then will disappear. I booked a package through them and clearly explained it was a mobile phone. I even had a few online conversations after as I had some issues with including the customs form. They said it was all fine and not to worry. The courier was DPD who then got in touch a couple days later to say the parcel was not an item they could deliver to the battery in the phone. My argument was that it isnt on Parcelmonkeys prohibited items so at the very least they should refund me. After nearly 10 days of going back and forth, I was able to agree for my parcel to be returned but only after I paid another fee. I reluctantly paid but was advised they would refund the original fee but not the cost of returning. I am now chasing my original refund and suddenty they send me generic responses and refuse to process the refund. This is a total scam and you should not trust them to deliver anything ever.

The parcel was picked up ok. It was marked very very clearly that it was fragile but when it arrived at the destination two of the seven pieces inside were broken. Not happy. Very disappointed.

Usually the cheapest parcel broker but service is consistently excellent. Easy to use site - their restrictions and prohibitions are not so onerous as others either! I’ve used them many times for ParcelForce as a rule and their service in the process has been superb and MUCH CHEAPER! Premium service at economy price!

I really would not recommend Parcel Monkey to anybody. The service is really awful. I posted a parcel ages ago and the tracking showed that it was dispatched back to me here in the UK. It never was returned and the tracking clearly showed this. I have contacted their customer services several times and they dont even try to be helpful. They keep telling me that they will look into it and get back to me. They have never once gotten back to me. Also, please dont be fooled by the concerned reply from Parcel Monkey to this post. This is a standard reply they use to look like they have some regard for their customers, the truth is they dont. The standard automated reply will be a concerned "James" from Parcel Monkey expressing how sorry he is to hear of the problems Im having and if I contact customer services with the package number they will look into it. This is complete rubbish because you still get no reply. Please avoid Parcel Monkey.
