A collection period during the day would be preferred, rather than a whole day

We agree but at the moment can only offer what the couriers themselves can manage. Unfortunately for now that has to be an "Anytime" collection window i'm afraid.

Prompt collection by a decent courier, have not yet heard about delivery but last time I sent parcels it was fine.

Enter size, weight, etc and then give the cheapsets option rather than selecting carriage type first.
