i got the sms to say when the uplift would take place .. from 9am til 12pm
then an hour later i got another to say it would be 12pm til 5pm ? then just to top it all off i got a third sms this time it said package will be uplifted between 9am and 6pm ? who can work with this , it gets worse .... i noticed on the email i got it said my delivery was going to number 35 when in fact i live at 53 so i phoned the seller and asked them to phone and have it changed which they did ..... got a txt the next day saying it was going to number 35 instead of 53 again i had the sender phone in to change it they said it was done .... i got an sms msg about two hours later to inform me my parcel would be delivered to number 35 ????? my local office for the glasgow area is in uddingston , well i dont know whats going on over there but somebody is not doing their
job .... when i asked the sender ( humax ltd) to phone again i had informed them that i knew the driver and he knew me so with a bit of luck i may still get it ok , well low and behold the sender got a chance to talk to the delivery driver on the phone (ronnie from dpd ) he said yes i know mr simpson well i will make sure he gets his package ok ,
lets hear it for ronnie , he really is a gem of a bloke always goes one step beyond for the customer , DPD take note you dont want to lose this guy hes special and does his job well if all drivers were like ronnie we would do well , ive not made my mind up if i will use DPD again but i would sure miss the excelent service ive had and still get from ronnie
shame about the staff in the office in uddingston who dont seem to care , .

I booked through their website for a 30kg palletted box. They offered me pick up service with DX for a bit more than 160£. I paid and waited the courier service to pick up the box. I have spent the whole day at home waiting for a text or email or a call about the approximate time of the pick up. Nothing from Parcel Monkey or DX customer service. Now what? Should I loose another day at work?

I looked up Parcel Monkey because I wanted to send a heavy parcel of books to Germany. Royal Mail quoted a price three times what I eventually paid. The online system was easy to use, I dropped my parcel off at my local supermarket and it was delivered safely within a few days.
I like that there was a choice of services to pick from and it was my decision which one to select. I could also track my parcel so I knew where it was as it made its way to its destination.

Excellent price for overseas shipping and arrived in perfect condition and in good time. The recipient was overjoyed with the delivery times and condition with shipping from uk to hungary.

The site is very good however when there is a problem it is completely impossible to speak to a human being and you only seem to get what look like computer generated replies via email. The address fields are not longer enough to enter a number of addresses correctly and it will not accept symbols e.g. & and - so not possible to enter company names correctly e.g. A & B Associates, of some addresses e.g. 1-4 The Road

Unfortunately, after an easy booking, it went downhill. No email with parcel labels, after contacting the online chat, I was told the system was down, but he confirmed the parcel would still be collected that day, and the labels would arrive within the hour After several hours still no email, so contacted online chat again.... then the label arrives. The parcel was now booked to be collected the next day (after waiting in all day!) Contacted online chat again... only to be told there was an error they hadnt noticed when the booking went through (in an address, which was exactly the same as what was on the labels) So wasted a day waiting, fobbed off to why they hadnt put the booking through and parcel a day late to the recipient!

Really useful - broke down a modular synth so had a lot of parcels to send. Only one downside - if there is an issue at all, or just a question, I prefer to speak to someone verbally, not use a message feature. Hence the 4 stars.

Use these exclusively now as they are good value for money and if theres a problem they will sort it out. Sent a parcel to south of France the other year with a partial address and ParcelMonkey could not have been more helpful. Parcel got there OK in the end. The online assistants are great

Parcel was collected on the agreed day, bound for New Zealand - it actually arrived at its ultimate destination three days ahead of schedule, so I was very pleased about that.
Only criticism was that the parcel was difficult to track as the Parcel Monkey ID number didnt correspond to the DHL number - who delivered the parcel.
But was very happy overall with the service, and would use again.
