item was smashed to bits .It had fragile tape all around it.The item was a straping machine so very hard to break but they managed to break

Prior advice as to whether pick up likely to be am or pm would have been helpful and saved some waiting around.

We agree but at the moment can only offer what the couriers themselves say they can manage. Unfortunately for now that's an "Any time" collection window.
