As a first time customer I was a bit apprehensive using parcel monkey especially since there were quite a few negative reviews online. However the price for the service was considerably lower than what we normally use and then package we were sending didnt contain anything super precious so we thought it was worth a shot.
I was definently not left disappointed! The package was collected from the house, the very next day (after having paid and placed the order the previous evening ) by dpd. We even received an hour window so nobody had to sacrifice a day at home waiting around and dpd came at the earliest end of that window.
There was tracking throughout and once the package was in France, the French company who took over also maintained excellent correspondence.
The package was delivered on the day it was predicted and that too at the earliest end of the predicted time.
End result: a super value service and a very pleased customer!!! Well done parcel monkey and dpd, would recommend this service to anyone.

When it works, the Parcel Monkey system would be great. When it goes wrong, the chain of communication, from oneself as sender, Parcel Monkey as consignor and the courier company doing the delivery, is just too long and too open to missed messages and error. Parcel Monkey need to correct this by providing more customer service staff and opening a phone line!

Parcel Monkey are cheap but there is a reason for this . They use other courier companys to pick up your parcel . In my case they used a company called Yodel . Yodel lost my parcel and by the time Parcel Monkeys complaints team had swung into action (if they ever did) my parcel was well and truly lost , it was never recovered . Moral : Never use companies who use Yodel (go to You Tube for more info about them) and dont under insure your parcel as I did to save money . Make sure you have an invoice or receipt for your parcel because if you dont have one and something goes wrong youll never get a penny out of them . Better still cough up the extra and use a decent company if your parcel is really important to you .

Made payment, but no confirmation email with details came through, despite payment being taken from my account. I have no had my parcel picked up, and have made several attempts to speak to the company about a refund and I have received no correspondence.

Parcel not collected on day requested. Collection rearranged but was again not scheduled, when I contacted parcel monkey I got no help at all and instead it was suggested it as my fault as I had missed the driver (this was not the case as I had left the parcel at a 24 hour concierge). Instead I had to contact parcel force myself (Parcel Monkeys website asks you not to make all queries direct to them). I found It had my collection had again not been scheduled so if I had not called it would not have been collected at all.

Used Parcel Monkey today and booked a delivery but havent had a confirmation email. I couldnt sign into my account to access help and tried forgotten password link and nothing came through to my email. Im certain I entered the correct email address. As it stands, Ive got no idea whether my parcel is being picked up or not.

I had to send an envelope to Paris for an urgent visa application. Rather than using the post office I decided to use a courier company to ensure it arrived on time. I chose a service that clearly stated 2 days delivery time. There were no exceptions or qualifications. When the parcel did not arrive I contacted parcel monkey via there website (they dont accept calls) to find out the status and it was told it would not arrive until 8 days after it was collected. When I queried this I was told - the two days did not include weekends and a bank holiday. This was not made clear when I booked the service and even with that it should have arrived after four days maximum. No explanation was made. As a result, the visa did not come back in time and we had to change four peoples flights at a cost of over £300 and massive stress and inconvenience. I asked for a refund and compensation and was refused on the basis that this was covered somewhere in the small print of their terms and conditions. I am posting this to warn other potential customers as I wouldnt want anyone to have to go through our experience with Parcelmonkey. I am pasting here the exchange: Brandon Hello, Please be advised that these are the terms between yourself and Parcel Monkey. You ticked a box to confirm that you had read and agreed to these terms. Everything on the parcel monkey website suggested I was arranging a regular courier booking with a 2 day delivery window. If Id had any idea it could take longer than this there is no way I would have gone ahead with the booking. A normal postage service could have delivered the envelope significantly cheaper and faster. I chose a courier service because of the time sensitivity. My contract was with parcel monkey not the courier company therefore you are liable. I believe this is an example of mis-selling under the Consumer Rights Act 2015. I would like to offer you another opportunity to rectify this unfortunate incident. If this cannot be resolved between ourselves I will have no alternative but to take appropriate legal action and / or to highlight the unsatisfactory quality of service via traditional and social media to warn other unsuspecting customers. Many of our terms mimic the couriers so for simplicities sake please take note of the following three terms. 2.6. Compliance with the estimated time of collection or delivery is not guaranteed and the company shall not be liable for late deliveries unless there is valid evidence of a period of 5 working days from the date the goods were scheduled to be delivered on. 2.7. You will be responsible to ensure that the correct Goods are available to be collected by the Carrier from the collection address on the scheduled collection date. You should ensure that you or a trusted representative are physically present at the time of collection. The company shall not be liable for late collections, including those from Post Offices, courier depots or store locations unless there is valid evidence of a period of 5 working days from the date of goods were scheduled to be collected or dropped off on. 3.8 The company disclaims all liability for and consequential loss arising from, or in connection with, the services supplied by the Company and its agents. For the purpose of this Agreement, �Consequential loss� shall include, but not be limited to (i) Pure economic loss (ii) Loss of profits (iii) Losses incurred by any third party (iv) Loss of revenue (v) Loss of goodwill and reputation (vi) Loss of opportunity (vii) Loss of work. No estimate of time given, waited in all day, nipped out to pick kids up from school, missed driver, still charged for it £14! Had to send parcel the following day at the post office! Dont think I would use again for that reason but if you can wait in indefinitely all day for parcel collection then a good service provided!

Had an issue with a customer claiming that a parcel was not delivered. Spoke to DPD who are the carrier and informed to contact Parcel Monkey. Only was possible, through email. Still waiting to hear back and DPD are informing me that they are awaiting instruction from Parcel Monkey. NO ONE TAKES OWNERSHIP ANYMORE. My advise from now on. Pay more and go direct with DPD, TNT, Ect........ Very Poor Customer Services.
