I had a package that I urgently need transporting and after finding Parcel Monkey via Google I decided to use them as the whole booking process was pretty simple. I had a choice of services from 2 days, next day, next day before 12, next day before 9, etc. I needed it next day and in addition to that I paid a little bit more for before 12pm. The parcel was collected and entered the network (Parcel Force was the courier) and everything seemed fine. The next day I checked the tracking at lunch time to find that it was still 150 miles from its destination. This was annoying as plans had been made on the basis that it would be there by 12. I asked Parcel Money about it but they were slow to reply so after speaking directly to Parcel Force I discovered it would not be delivered that day. So despite paying for next day before 12 it was in fact going to be 2 days for delivery. The lady at Parcel Force explained that they issue a refund in such a situation for the postage which was some small amount of good news - Im skipping over the fact that the delay cost me upwards of £300. When I spoke to Parcel Monkey I was told that there would be no refunds - they only consider a parcel to be late if its over 5 days late and that by using their services you waive any guaranteed delivery times - thus rendering those services pointless in my opinion!

I am very sorry to hear about this delay and this issue this has caused you. Please raise a support ticket and put FAO Manager so this can be looked into with the carrier. However it is stated in the terms offered at the time of booking the delivery time frames are a guideline

I posted something 24hour courier, The courier picked up ok but it didnt arrive with my customer for 5 days. Rang to query this and the answer was, oh, Im sorry, your parcel wont be delivered until x day. Great...... Thanks for your help.

Sorry to hear about the delay with the delivery, we do not offer phone support so I am not sure who you may of spoke with. If there is an issue with delivery please message us on Live Chat and we can step in and chase this direct with the courier for you. This item was sent from NI and this may of caused an issue, as the delivery time frame is a guide provided by the courier not a guarantee.

Appalling service!! posted parcel on 25th August with what was supposed to be 24 hour delivery, parcel arrived on 29th August delivery and posting were both within UK. Unacceptable service

Cheap and fast service with insurance for just a couple of quid. The only thing is, it can be hard to arrange for someone to be home when they collect/deliver as only the date is known in advance, not the time

Booking the delivery through Parcel Monkey was simple. The shipping labels were easily printable (although some of the long lines in the address overflowed and were not entirely printed). The drop-off at the post office was trouble-free, and the parcel was delivered by when it was needed through the standard Parcel Force service Id otherwise have paid more than twice as much for.

The on-line system was very straight forward and easy to use and the parcels were collected when they were supposed to be and arrived in good shape at the correct destination. Brilliant and reasonably priced.

Hi were parcel monkey you could wrap your entire parcel in bullet proof steel that could survive the apocalypse but god forbid you dont have some cardboard we will SHOOT YOU DOWN and refuse to help you WHATSOEVER So, I ordered a DX delivery from parcel monkey. The item getting shipped was a 3.8m long windsurfing board. I placed an order for 145 pounds for it to be delivered from Cornwall to West Yorkshire, and paid for £500 insurance. After, and this is very important, after the money had left my account, I went to print my DX shipping label, and it said my item must be bubble wrapped and placed inside a cardboard box otherwise it wouldnt be shipped, and because of the item type, NO REFUND would be given! None of this was clear on either the parcel monkey or DX website until after Id paid. I then frantically contacted parcel monkey, who said they could get my parcel delivered, as it was packed in a very well padded bag, with cardboard over the middle sections and bubble wrap over the ends. (it was getting delivered from cornwall to me, so I had little control over its packaging) However, DX and parcel monkey then said as it wasnt within their packing guideline, I would get no insurance despite paying for it, and any damage would be my liability to pay for. I was fuming! The board was in better packaging than most things in a box, and any damage would of course be the couriers fault. So I made it explicitly clear to parcel monkey that I would claim for any damage due to the quality of the packaging. No reply. Then on the day of arrival, the delivery driver dropped the board over 1m off the back of his van, right in front of me! He then smiled like nothing happened and offered to carry the board into my house, (knocking it into every bloody thing he could as he did so). There is now a non watertight crack/chip in the back of my board that will be very expensive to fix, and parcel monkey are not letting me know whether I can claim. I have tried to claim with parcel monkey, and despite repeated attempts to explain how it was packaged, as well as uploading a photo of the bag it came in and some cardboard and bubble wrap (because the lady i dealt with seemed unable to understand what that was) I was informed I could not even have my claim processed because I didnt have the cardboard my package came in!? I still had the bag though! I just recycled the cardboard like a sane person would, and now theyre trying to avoid helping me because I recycled some cardboard!? I am 18, I cant afford to lose hundreds of pounds over this trivial thing. Ridiculous, and the lady from claims who dealt with me was particularly arsey and unhelpful.

Very disappointing service waited in all day for the parcel force man to turn up 26 minutes after closing time and then asked if I would like to cancel pick or arrange for them to come another day to collect surely they must know if it is going to be am or pm pick up did arrive in time at delivery address but as a first time customer will think twice about using service again

I booked a parcel to be sent to New Zealand, at first the price seemed to be fair. However, once the parcel arrived in NZ we were told that there would be an additional $235NZD to pay before they would release it. Customs charges apparently! They didnt mention this when I went through the booking process. It ended up costing me in excess of £200. There isnt a helpline to call, and when contact parcel monkey, its via text and the replies didnt address my query. A simple process made very difficult. I would not recommend this service.

We do not deal with customs duty as this is charged on arrival by customs in the destination- so not something we can control and it is also depending on what you are sending, should you have questions on this our Live Chat team are online Mon-Fri 8am to 9pm plus we answer emails around the clock, or contact customs in the destination.
