Parcel Monkey offered a good choice of options to send the £150 item I need to return. I chose the parcelforce option which was by no means the cheapest but their low cost for actual value insurance offset some of that.
Parcel Monkey are good in that they dont just offer you the cheapest option but all options

Ive booked 2 shipments to be collected the day after. 1 week later they were not collected yet. Then I received an email saying "Unfortunately, we wont be able to rebook this anymore since it has been five (5) business days that it has not been collected. We will now have to cancel the shipment so you can book a new order." Very poor service that could not manage to re-book this. I had to wait 5 days from 9-17h for the collection that never happened. A complete waste of time and money. REALLY BAD SERVICE.

The Parcel Monkey website would not allow me to enter the exact weight of my parcel - a poster in a lightweight tube - at 330g - so I was obliged to enter and pay for 1kg. Eight days later I received an email that my parcel was weighed by the courier and apparently it weighed 1.5kg so an extra charge of £2.29 was taken from my card. Apparently it has just arrived at the local delivery depot.

Parcel Monkey was very efficient at finding a courier for same day collection which I paid for however even with clear instructions the parcel force driver didnt pick up until the following afternoon after I phoned twice to the depot to complain. However it finally went off and was delivered to the right place within 12 hours.

excellent service, good value, only fly in the ointment was when the driver collecting our parcel refused to sign the collection slip. parcel arrived 4 days after collection which is fast for where we live.

Please be very careful using this company . They are cheap but very bad. No customer service number just a chat line that uses automated responses . They push you to but their insurance and Never pay out - this has cost me a lot of money ! I

Managed to lose a car wheel and then refused to compensate me due to not informing them soon enough. Made to feel it was my fault. Only my persistence and genuine threat of court action resulted in full compensation being paid. Many similar experiences on internet. Never again.

Very easy to use and seems to find many cheap options for sending parcels. Loses one star as I could do with it letting me know how much heavier or larger the parcel could be before the cost for a particular company goes up; I was once was surcharged for apparently exceeding my stated weight / size - not Parcel Monkeys fault but I was clearly close to a limit.

Delivered late and then referred to the small print saying a 24 hour service needed to be 5 days late before it wasnt 24 hour. Completely uninterested - never again!!

Posted item to America, when an attempt to deliver was unsuccesfull the parcel was taken to depot with no card being left for the addressee. Parcel was left for 10 days and was just about to be shipped back home.

Cant fault any part of this service. This is the first time I have used Parcel Monkey UK but it wont be the last. Pickup was on the day requested and the parcels were delivered on the day promised. One happy sender and one happy customer, thank you.

Dreadful service - I would never use this company again. I ordered next day collection on a Friday and had confirmation it would be collected on the Monday. I then waited in all day, every day for 4 days and it wasnt collected until Thursday. No explanation. No tracking. No people to speak to other than the online chat of people who just kept saying they would look into it. It was eventually collected on day 4, and then parcel monkey contacted me to ask if it had been delivered! Stunningly poor service. Theyve offered me compensation of £1 per day for my time waiting in and for the delay in my delivery being received...that shows how they value their customers time. Use another service if you want your parcel to get there on schedule!
