Took 21kg parcel to the post office for a parcelforce 48 service. They quoted £40.
Took the parcel back home and booked the same service through parcel monkey and paid £11.87 . Why would you use anything else.

Using the site was quick and straightforward, with the parcel picked up first thing on the Monday morning and delivered to its destination in Italy on the Thursday.
I will definitely use Parcel Monkey again as it makes sending larger items cheaper and easier.

Parcel Monkey are a complete shower with zero customer service. You cannot contact them by phone or email (they dont have either) and their chat line does not work. The only form of contact is via a web form, which means it can be several hours before any response is received - if at all. They do not answer direct questions, just say they are waiting to hear from the carrier. They take no responsibility for the contract they have with the customer, although they are quick to take payment. The service we received was appalling - the courier turned up a day late to collect the parcel, with no communication from Parcel Monkey. It then took over a week for the package to be delivered, despite next day promise. And to cap it all, the carrier took the parcel to the wrong address and Parcel Monkey suggested returning it to us! Would not recommend under any circumstances.

Fantastic service,I had too much to pack on a trip back to France from the UK , and the cost would have been so much to add another case to my flight so used Parcel Monkey much much cheaper. My parcel was picked up on a Monday and arrived on the Wednesday I couldnt believe it such a quick delivery , I will certainly be using this service again thank you.

Its great, I put the package at the drop off place on Saturday, and the next Thursday it was arriving to Hungary from the UK!! I’d recommend the DPD! And it was the cheapest one what I’ve found!

AWFUL- Parcelmonkey try ANYTHING to get out of paying insurance for delayed parcels! I have sent multiple parcels to Gibraltar and they took over 3 weeks to arrive! parcel money refused to compensate! AWFUL!!

I use parcel Monkey quite often and Im very pleased with their service. I can only give 4 stars though because they will not cover china and ceramics for damage or loss.

Parcel containing Christmas present, fully insured, vanished. Parcel Monkey repeatedly refused to pay out insurance cover I took out for the items- and is STILL repeatedly asking for the same documents for the insurance claim (proof of non-receipt of parcel, value of item, proof of sending parcel) even though I sent all these documents over a month ago!! DISGUSTING. The only response I ever had from staff when I question this nonsense is we will get back to you which they NEVER do. Do not use this service- they do not care about your post and have no intention of paying out the legally obliged insurance cover when THEY lose or damage your items.

My parcel, delivered by DPD, and booked via Parcel Monkey arrived damaged on 6th November 2018. Having opened an insurance claim the very same day and having provided all the relevant requested documents and photos I am still awaiting for the insurance policy to be honoured nearly 12 weeks on. PMs business model is to obstruct and delay claims as much as legally possible. As a company, they, along with DPD, are conspiring to withhold info regarding the status of my claim. Theres a serious conflict of interests here: BE WARNED - DPD (in this case) will NOT divulge info as they regard PM to be their customer, not the parcel sender, not the person whos goods were damaged by them, and NOT the person who paid for the insurance cover. PM have nothing to gain in insuring that claims are met except for an increase in their insurance premium with DPD. The result? Youve no hope at all of securing what youve paid for. In effect you have NO insurance against loss or damage. PM are not contactable via telephone. All contact is online - customers raise tickets and when the claims team fail to update their web-chat staff will suggest you raise another ticket FAO Manager. The manager will then revert you back to the claims team, ad nauseum. Im currently on hold on their web-chat having requested to speak to a manager 90 minutes ago. They did this on Wednesday too, until the close of the working day. Through absolute determination Ive been able to obtain some periodic updates from DPD who are suggesting the process has been concluded on their part. PMs correspondence (always prompted by countless messages from myself) contradicts this. Effectively both companies are running down the clock on a process, that I their customer, has paid for. As an example of how they collude to frustrate the process: It took them 2 months to reach the point where they provided me with a standard declaration of no other insurance form, the info therein requested had been in their possession prior to the parcel pick-up date, November 1st 2018. Ive raised this issue with their CEO, Nav Ramiah via nav at parcelmonkey dot com. Hes yet to respond. In short Parcel Monkey have the upmost distain for their paying customers. Do yourselves a favour and withhold that custom. Pay the extra and book directly with the courier. Otherwise youll be out of pocket - its really not worth the upset. For the record DPDs customer service, all three departments that Ive had the displeasure of corresponding with for nearly 3 months are little better: Set-text responses and buck passing : You know the routine. *as I type this PM have updated the webchat thus... "Apologies. Please be advised that there is no manager available at this moment. OUr manager will contact on Monday, Again, Apologies." Im now seeking legal advice as both Parcel Monkey and DPD are, in my opinion, acting illegally and are in breach of contract.

this is the worst parcel company I have used they use courier that are private couriers I have lost a parcel that was 87k in weight I did not insure it why this parcel should have been carefully delivered but it was not and still not they have lost covers head pillows all for a inflatable spa cost £1000 and its tuffnells courier who are corrupt hope all people who read this go direct to main couriers not agents who are cheaper now I am taking pm to court for £400 for stolen items note I say stolen because that what they did theft was in the storage from tuffnells who I will never use again you have been warned about agents thanks

Very good and prompt service. One downside was the cost of sending a parcel just over 2kg but still a lot cheaper than using parcelforce via their own site. Definitely use this service if sending a parcel overseas that weighs near the 30kg limit as then its super value in comparison. Would have given it 5 stars if not for cost.
