well it just goes to show when things go well we do good reviews and we may never use them again, but when i used parcel monkey this time what a shambles, i had two packages to send and parcel monkey arranged for Parcel force to get one and Hermes to get the other ,my stuff was due to be uplifted on the monday, nobody came? on the tuesday the hermes man arrived to deliver but could not take my parcel as he had no paperwork for it and that the regular driver phoned in sick on monday, aha so thats why i never got an uplift, then i reordered an uplift on wednesday for uplift on thursday for both ... thursday came and went and nothing ... in frustration i contacted parcel monkey to cancel my order all together and now i await a refund .... i then made arrangements for parcel force to come get my packages , they arrived at my door to pick up both packages two hours later , well i wont be going back to parcel monkey for anything in future, and Hermes is just a joke, I i understand folk can get sick but does nobody pick up the slack no apparently the driver has to catch up when he returns to work, that does not help customers of hermes

The real operational capabilities are shown when something goes wrong. This company is incompetent and powerless. My parcel has now been in transit for 5 days (it is DX Freight UK overnight service). I have been asking for information for 3 days and nobody bothered to help me. Same stories that they have to look into it and contact courier company and they never come back to me with an update. They sell service but if something goes wrong they dont help.

We found that the cost of sending the parcel was good.
They were very quick in the delivery of the item and I was kept informed of its location right up to the time it was delivered.
I would certainly recommend this company.

Noticeably less expensive than dealing with Parcelforce direct, the booking process was straightforward and the website user-friendly.
As a longstanding customer of Parcel2Go - who, it has to be said were absolutely fine - Ill definitely be using Parcel Monkey from now on.

I have used Parcel Monkey on and off for years, generally with pretty good results but after todays experience, never again. We have a customer in Austria who needed something delivering this week. We booked a 3-day Courier road service and the package was collected on Monday so should have been there on Thursday. On Thursday morning I had a very worried email from my customer saying that the tracking was showing the parcel had been delivered and signed for - but there was no sign of it. She was understandably very worried that someone had stolen it! After multiple emails to customer services/live chat I was told that it had simply arrived at the UK hub and had yet to be sent on to Austria. It was a very matter-of-fact explanation, like this should have been obvious. No hint of an apology, no explanation for why such a ludicrous thing would happen. Frankly I was astonished. Why on earth would the tracking show it had arrived when it hadnt even left the UK...?! I had to drag further tracking information out of them for the next leg, which leads to the next part of the problem. Now it is Thursday and it still hasnt left the UK, so no chance that it would be in Austria the same day. So when will it arrive? Tuesday next week is the answer, again dragged out of them via multiple emails over the best part of a day. Again, no apology until right at the end and the explanation...? In their words - "Please be advised that the estimated delivery date exclude customs processes, holidays and weekends." Well, it was collected on Monday, which rules out two of those and since it didnt even leave the UK until the day it was due to arrive in Austria, I dont see how customs can be involved. Of course, if you dig deep enough into the Ts and Cs, you find... "Compliance with the estimated time of collection or delivery is not guaranteed and the company shall not be liable for late deliveries unless there is valid evidence of a period of 5 working days from the date the goods were scheduled to be delivered on" In my opinion, if I am paying for a 3-day road service then it should be there in 3 days. The clause above effectively redefines what late means. As far as I am concerned, it means getting there after the date it was supposed to have arrived but in Parcel Monkeys world it is only late if it is 5 days late! What a joke and needless to say we will not be using them again. If you need to get a parcel somewhere in Europe by a specific date I would strongly advise not using Parcel Monkey
