I sent a parcel from the UK to go abroad and finally after almost a month it has been received by the recipient. I had already paid Parcelmonkey the fees for delivery but was told by the recipient that the courier in their country (Pakistan) was charging over £70 to release the package. There were many messages back and forth over a few weeks between myself and ParcelMonkey as I tried to understand why this was, it turns out these were mostly customs fees that had been charged however the parcel value was only £104.95 so it didnt make sense that the customs fees were so high as they should be based on a percentage fee of the parcel. No matter how much I tried to explain this to Parcelmonkey and backed up with official customs rates evidence, the fees did not change. ParcelMonkey forwarded my messages to the courier but still no change. I understand Parcelmonkey hadn’t charged the customs fees themselves, but they had not explicitly told me when I booked the delivery that there could be customs fees and they also didn’t give me contact details of the onward couriers in the recipients home country when I asked them. I ended up investigating myself, I felt like Jason Bourne trying to track it all down. I know DPD had picked it up and found out Blueex in Pakistan were the couriers from that side, I spoke to both and also spoke to Aramex UK and Aramex Pakistan all of whom were involved, and that’s just the parties I know. However no-one could justify the fees in a satisfactory way, all I was told was that these were the fees and either the parcel would be destroyed or be sent back (meaning more returns fees). I feel like I was held to ransom over it but eventually considering the amount of time and stress it had taken up and trying to think of the initial delivery and cost of filling the parcel (gifts for a relative) as a sunk cost, I sent the money to my relative to pay the courier the customs fees. Overall, at no point did I find Parcelmonkey seeming to fight my corner, all they did was forward on my messages and send short standard replies. They were very quick to answer on the whole, there were often multiple messages between us back and forth each day, and also very polite, but they didn’t actually do much. Next time I send something I will try a different option.

Never use Courier . After 6 attempts at dropping parcel off to a 24hr manned site they sent it back to sender . Useless.

Competitive pricing and offered a quicker service for our parcel to France. Collection was great and as stated. Parcel should have arrived in 2 days took 4 days so missed the Birthday it was intended for.

Used Parcel Monkey many times, never really had an issue other than the odd non collection by the courier, always quickly resolved. However my recent experience of my parcel going missing and how Parcel Monkey approach the issue is very poor- been over a week since reporting it to them and just get fobbed off with "well let you know once the courier comes back to us". Has put me off using them.

They are awful. They make unauthorised charges on your account and when you try to dispute them, say you need to provide images of the package which they have already taken from you!! Completely unreasonable and unfair - do not use them.

1st parcel picked up and delivered within 24 hours .
Second parcel picked up and lost by DHL somewhere after Edinburgh.
I’m not quite sure what I think of the service to be honest as the site, price and initial service was great .
The second parcel was supposed to be delivered 3 days ago but DHL still looking...

13 days ago I purchased a service ( parcel force world wide ) which pro ported to deliver the package in Australia within 8 days... 13 days later when checking the tracking link the package it is still waiting to be prepared for export when it should have been at it’s destination 4or 5 days ago. So the intermediary Company ( Parcel Monkey ) are happy to take my money in the most efficient way possible but offer a service that doesn’t live up to its promises

The parcel was picked up on time and delivered to the South of France within the 2 days promised. No items were damaged (some were fragile) so care must have been taken even though it was a heavy box. Cant rate them high enough.
