Parcel return out of pocket on double shipping no help from customer service ignored emails

Paid £61 to send a 2.5 kg parcel to a friend in the USA with dpd. The contents arrived damaged (despite being wrapped in bubble wrap and tissue paper. 4 out of the 5 items were damaged. Sent pictures of the damaged items and proof of purchase for them. The only thing I couldn’t send was a picture of the box because sadly my friend disposed of it before letting me know the gifts were damaged. Parcel monkey / dpd were unable to investigate the matter if I couldn’t provide a picture of the box. I advised I could get my friend to take it out of the trash and take a picture of it but not sure what good that would do as the box had been destroyed. To say I’m disappointed is an understatement.my friend wasn’t aware that she’d need the box. These were gifts sent by me to help raise funds for a very worthy charity and now they’re no longer of any use. So not only am I out of pocket for the items and shipping the charity is also not going to be out of pocket too ! I also paid extra to ensure the contents were fully covered by insurance. However clearly pointless. I will never use or recommend parcel monkey or dpd ever again.

Great service, easy to book. No hassle. Only reason for 4 stars is the website could be slightly more user friendly. Otherwise all good.

Use this company a lot in a month. But do not understand how they can charge us again when the person who the parcel is being sent too is not in. It should just be sent back to sender, but these charge another £16 to have it returned, or they destroy it...so they say. It is not theirs to destroy and they have been paid to deliver it. This is not the first time we have had this problem with them. Also in dispute about a parcel that has not been delivered to correct address .

Easily booked online, picked up on time, delivered next day & sent an sms with photo of delivery
Can’t fault the service or price
Definitely use again & HIGHLY RECOMMEND

Used express 24 service. Parcel was passed to post office Saturday morning, it got delivered on Wednesday. No reported delays.

24 hour delivery sent on Thursday was delivered on Monday. Had to drive duplicate items 400 miles to ensure they were there on Monday. Unable to find out when it would be delivered. Sometimes can be unreliable.

Absolutely embarrassing. I sent a small rug, £18. Perfect. Got quoted £50 on Shiply... They then charged me £65 on top of the original £18 as it was declared as 18kgs but it was 10kgs... See you in court. Best regards, Rory

An eye-opening experience about Parcel Force Express 24 service ordered via Parcel Monkey. It would appear that Parcel Force does not prioritise Parcel Monkey orders. My parcel was not picked up by Parcel Force, but had a or from the driver that the parcel was not ready for collection on the day of collection! They did not even attempt to collect it, I was hanging around expecting my doorbell to ring. It did not. On checking the tracking, I saw the meager by PF! They did not bother to ring my tel number even! And 24hr Express? Hmm... Next day again I rang PF just in case, and was told that they has no instruction to collect. A good thing I was able to provide the reference number from previous contact with PF to rearrange a collection, shad was told that the instructions was cancelled at end of day the day before!! Omg, will never use PF again, this is not my first delivery service i ordered from them. The first was a collection from storage to my new address, PF had proof of delivery when I did not sign for it. They made it impossible top claim a refund. I arranged for my parcels to be picked up by another courier service and finally got a refund via Paypal! Should have learnt my lesson the first time!! But sideways willing to give s second chance, again not worth giving that second chance, and paying extra for express service, a joke.

I booked a shipment with Parcel Monkey, operated by Parcel Force. The box contained 50 pairs of flip-flops which I purchased for my wedding guests. I booked the shipment way ahead of time to make sure they will reach Italy in time for the event. The collection was aok but the issues started with the delivery. Parcel Force updated the tracker stating refused by the recipient. I called the recipient who has never received any attempted delivery. I then called Parcel Force and they mentioned an issue with the government without any further details. I then reached out to Parcel Monkey - who is supposed to be responsible for the service. They have dragged the issue for a week just to then reply with the initial message received by Parcel Force: I am very sorry, but this parcel is now in the returns process as the depot state that the recipient refused it at the time of delivery. This is a huge waste of my time and money besides adding additional stress to an already stressful moment. Parcel Monkey was not able to support us in any way, there is no way of reaching them via phone and the whole service is disgraceful, with different people picking up the live chat every day and me having to repeat what the issue was. My wedding is in now 15 days and the parcel is nowhere to be found.

Used Parcel Monkey before with good service. Now they use Parcelforce for international partcel deliveries and it is a disaster. Custom delays and very slow supply of information.......usual inefficient service. So if given choice avoid Parcelforce option and use TNT etc.

DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY - This is the first and last time I will use Parcel Monkey. I sent a parcel to Corfu, however, when trying to track the item I noticed it had been stuck on the same date for weeks and weeks. I contacted Parcel monkey who, having spoken to a different person every time, got an answer saying it had been delivered to a local post office in Corfu. Please note that this is the complete WRONG address and when I asked Parcel Monkey to contact the courier and deliver it to the CORRECT address they refused. I explained that my recipient could not get to the post office, however, they refused to help and kept insisting my recipient needed to go and collect it. A few weeks later my parcel came back return to sender, extremely damaged, ripped and with no stamps meaning it probably never even made it to Corfu like they said. I have asked for a refund of the postage I have paid £21.49 and the cost of £20 which is their compensation for damaged goods. I have also asked for an extra £10 for the inconvenience caused, however, they are refusing and will only refund a total of £20. I am out of pocket all thanks to this company. They take days to reply to each message I send and I have been extremely inconvenienced. Please do not use this company, pay a little more and use a decent well-trusted company.

Courier confirm it was collected but parcel never arrived at destination. I insured it, now hopefully Ill get compensated. waiting for outcome of Parcel Monkey & Courier discussion. Its been 11 days since the parcel was collected. Little hope of locating it. If you cant trust Courier who can you trust? My guess is that its been stolen, pilfered, looted, purloined, thieved, filched, swiped, robbed, nicked, heisted, nobbled and misappropriated.

Have used PM many times in past and no problem. However, this time there was a problem, leading to me being charged nearly 3 times the original price. PM abdicated all responsibility to the courier - even though my contract was with them. Extremely disappointed and will not use the company again. PM - you really et yourselves down.

The last 2 collections have not been made, and changing a collection address when you have failed to collect to enable collection is not available. Your service is disgraceful

I was extremely disappointed that my parcel didn’t arrive at the customers address and was handed over Or attempted to be delivered on an alternative date or different address without any notification to myself I really thought from the outset the service was going to be good as I felt confident
