Parcel Monkey are usually decent to deal with but then you pick Parcelforce and they don’t turn up. They send you an email apologising and offering a reschedule or refund. You put in an email address and they’ve never heard of you. Parcel Monkey is their customer not you and to hell with chasing it up for a tenner.

The item was collected from my home as arranged. It was delivered to the recipient a day earlier than expected, so parcel Monkey did a great job.

The collection took 3 days. Tuesday: nothing, Wednesday: Nothing. I chase up Parcel Monkey: call us if nothing by 6PM, BTW they close lines at 5PM. Then on the evening a text from DPD, then another text for the time and it went perfect. I paid for delivery NEXT DAY, and it took 3 days to be collected. It was said buy now before xx and it will be collect today: and it was not, nor the following day.

It did exactly what it said it would. I got various quotes to ship an item from UK to Singapore. I chose ParcelForce and the item was collected and delivered in the timeframes set out for a very reasonable price. The system was easy to use, and further communication was good.

AVOID THIS COMPANY – you MAY be lucky and have them deliver your item to your expectation. However, if you are in what appears to be a pretty large minority, and they do not deliver on the contract made between you prepare yourself for obfuscation and misdirection regarding their responsibilities and your rights as defined by the UK’s Consumer Rights Act. In my experience their tactic is to not communicate proactively and then, when forced to interact, they will express their regrets and then politely miscommunicate and mislead, likely in the hope that you will eventually get fed up and drop the matter. In my case I paid Parcel Monkey for a next day delivery service for an item which was then delivered several days late – a clear breach of the contract made between us when I paid them for the service (always remember that your contractual relationship is with Parcel Monkey and not whoever they subcontract to for delivery). After raising the initial complaint and hearing nothing from them for 10 days I had to spend the next 3 weeks repeatedly chasing them – with every communication amounting to ‘it’s the courier company’s fault not ours’: essentially, ’tough luck, go away’. These people know full well that my contract was with them and not their sub-contractor and that the Consumer Rights Act supports this, but they chose to feign ignorance of this when repeatedly pointed out to them. At my wits’ end with their ‘sharp practice’ and remembering I actually paid with a credit card I initiated a chargeback through the card company and told Parcel Monkey that they would be hearing from Amex. Parcel Monkey literally IMMEDIATELY issued me with a full refund after a month of messing me around … this is as clear a tacit admittance as you will get that they knew their obligation all along but instead chose to mislead their customer. Icing on their cake of dishonesty: two weeks later and I have still not received the refund!!! They may well reply to this review with platitudes and expression of regret – DO NOT BELIEVE A WORD OF IT – this is their model for customer interaction: veiled dishonesty.

Will say you made a mistake with size / weight… & take funds without notification. PLEASE use Royal Mail as they now ship very large parcels worldwide… hopefully this will kill off these sorts of disreputable companies

Still ongoing with a missed shipment from November. Have asked for a supervisors email now three times which has been completely ignored. If you want to preserve your sanity, do not use Parcel Monkey.

Deliver a parcel at 1:30am. I get up at 7am, open the curtains to the view of a horrible rainy day. I go to leave the house at 8:30am and am confronted with a wet and soggy cardboard box on my doorstep. Nuff said!

I chose Royal Mail but did not realise they don’t give a time slot for pick up so waiting in all day. Finally arrived at 15.30. Will use DPD another time.

You complete a booking at a confirmed price, you then get charged extra for no valid reason and funds are taken form your PayPal account without permission , it is not possible to keep track of responses to complaints and refunds because the tread vanishes once you have read it.

Did exactly what they said they would do, collected on time and delivered on time, but what got them the 5 star review, there was a human element, a person on the other end of the telephone when I had a query.
