The first choice for customers wishing to send parcels within the UK and abroad is to arrange for a courier to collect from them. This is a simple process of selecting a date from the list available within the booking process (found by clicking the 'send a parcel' link above). Generally the second most popular option is to take a parcel to one of the available courier depots. The issue for residents of Barrow-in-Furness, however is that the depots are a great distance away in Preston, Penrith and Carlisle - this would make them an unattractive option for many customers in the town. A third option does exist, however.
A forth option is available to people looking to send a parcel abroad and entails booking your parcel online with us and selecting a Parcelforce drop-off option. This will allow you to take your pre-paid parcel to a local Post Office branch. You can find these on Dalton Road, Duke Street, Risedale Road, Lesh Lane, Ramsden Dock Road, Beacon Hill, Roose, Ormsgill, Dalton In Furness and Great Urswick.

Comments from customers who have sent parcels from Barrow in Furness.
Parcel collected on time and delivered as scheduled.
Simple, effective, affordable
Mostly positive with a few irritations loading customs info..
Good website and choice of carriers, sent two parcels one arrived next day but the other took 36 hours longer, disappointed with the carrier (DPD), no comms for the parcel that arrived on time but a message re the one that arrived late. Not cheap to use but convenient and both parcels ultimately arrived.
