If you have either arranged the delivery of a parcel to a UK address or abroad by Parcelforce then you have the option of having it collected from your address or, if it is more convenient, you can drop it off at the Parcelforce depot to the south of the city, just the other side of Bamber Bridge and located in the middle of the M6, M61 and M65 triangle.
If you have a parcel being delivered by Parcelforce you also have the option at dropping it off to a Post Office in Preston itself or around the city such as the North Road Post office or the one on Plungington Road, Ashton Lane Ends, Blackpool Road, by the Cemetery, Greenland’s, Ribbleton etc.
As of August 2015 you can now drop off your parcels at over 2,500 DPD 'Pick-up' locations around the country - with ten within 2.5 miles of Preston's centre. The closest ones are the Aston Phamacy on Ashton Street, the Hughes shop on Ribblton Lane, the Halfords store to the west of the centre by the marina, and the Rowlands pharmacy as you head out, south west on the Liverpool Road.

Excellent service can’t fault it
Priced parcel at local Post Office and would have been £80. Took parcel home and went online for prices. Parcel Monkey was cheapest at £36 for an express tracked service with Parcel Force. Paid online, printed the labels and fixed to the parcel, and dropped the parcel back at the same post office as before. Saving was £50 for printing my own label. (QR code was provided to print label at post office if no printer available.). Parcel subsequently delivered on the day quoted and was able to track to destination. Email received when parcel was delivered in Australia. Our parcel was 3.2kg in a standard posting box. Superb saving of £50 against the Parcel Force standard delivery price quoted at Post Office by using Parcel Monkey for the faster Express Tracked delivery also offered by Parcel Force. Would definitely use this service again.
