The UK and Poland have very close ties and as such, the number of parcels being posted to Poland is always huge. Personal belongings, car parts, gifts and business consignments are sent on a daily basis and rather than paying for parcel delivery at the Post Office, many people have now turned to our courier comparison site to find a reliable and affordable option.
Poland joined the EU in 2004 and in that time it has become a hugely important trading destination with the UK and as such we send a mixture of business orientated items as well as items more related to the home such as furniture, computers and even pushchairs.
It doesn't take long to send a parcel to Poland, as the country is well connected via various transport links. You can send a parcel to Poland in a similar time frame that it takes to deliver to other popular European destinations such as Czechia, Germany, Slovakia, Ukraine, Belarus and Lithuania.
For those looking for cheap parcel delivery to Poland, our postage rates using eTrak will let you send a box from as little as £11.33 + VAT. Another way other to get cheaper postage to Poland is to book a Drop Off service.
With Parcel Monkey, you can compare prices online, book a courier, print your shipping labels and drop off at the Post Office or a DPD Pickup shop. You can find your nearest location using our shop finders, so if it is easier for you to use the most local one, you can then book that service.
Dropping off will often save you money, plus you can choose if you need a Classic or Express option with DPD.
Prefer to post your parcels at the Post Office, book online and you enjoy a cost saving on Parcelforce services, and all you will need to do is print the labels, attach them to the box and drop off at the Post Office at a time that suits you.
When you want to send a parcel to Poland that is heavy, or you prefer that a courier comes to collect from your home or work, we have a wide range of courier services.
Parcelforce can be booked as a collected service, as can DPD so you can simply book online, choose the day you want the parcel picking up and send.
We also offer DHL for when you need to post a parcel quickly to Poland, and they can deliver in just 1-2 days using Air Express. For bigger boxes, it makes sense to consider using a Road courier, as prices are cheaper but transit times are just 2-3 days.
Parcel Monkey offer their own hybrid Air Express service which can be as much as half the cost of DHL and arrives in 2-3 days or our own Road service which takes 5 days but is cheaper than DHL. These services are picked up by Parcelforce, sorted and sent, before being delivered in Poland by DHL so you can still track your parcel until it is delivered.
For long boxes or parcels that are big and heavy, road courier delivery makes sense as you can send an item that is 30kg and 60cm x 60cm x 60cm for around £70 rather than over £100 using DHL or Air Mail.
We often see spare parts, boxes with personal belongings in, clothing and other heavy items being sent and using a road courier is great value for these types of goods, especially if they are not urgent.
To get a price for your parcel to Poland, just add your parcel details into the quote engine and you can compare and choose the best service for you.
The positive thing about Poland being an EU member is that the process of sending a parcel there is much easier than other non-EU countries. There is no need for any Customs Documents.
You can check for information on what can and cannot be sent using the Polish Customs site. Items that are prohibited or restricted are in line with general EU rules and items such as liquids, alcohol and tobacco should not be sent via courier.
The parcel delivery costs to Poland aren't excessive. You can send parcels to all destinations in the country including Warsaw, Poznan, Katowice and Gdansk. More remote areas may take a little longer to deliver to and you should always provide a local contact number on the booking to ensure the recipient can be contacted in case there is an issue with delivery.
I sent a 55 inch tv to poland from the uk, the tv got there but lots of damage to the box on arrival but luckily I packaged well and no damage! It was supposed to be delivery by road but courier said he picked up from airport so maybe not by road as booked!
