When taking your parcel to a courier to be transported is difficult or inconvenient the most efficient method of sending a parcel would be to arrange a courier to pick it up from you - and this is particularly relevant to South Shields given that the closest depot being the Parcelforce depot on the Drum Industrial Estate by Chest-le-Street. It is very simple to book a courier to collect from you using our system, however. All you need to do is click the yellow 'send a parcel' link at the top of this page. Here you will be shown a box where you put the dimensions of your parcel in and where you would like it to go to. On the next page you will be shown a list of relevant courier services which you can further refine by putting in the weight of your parcel. Then you can then choose a particular courier service based on how much it would cost, how quickly it will get there and if you would like the parcel collected from you or if you drop it off.
One of the services listed in that process may also be of use to customers and that's the drop-off option for customers who are sending parcels abroad. When you have booked the service using the process above you can take your parcel to your local Post Office which could be the one on Keppel Street, Frederick Street, Mile Street, Percy Park Road - or any other. You will have to book the parcel into the system using our quick booking form and then attach the label we will email you.
