Goole could be seen to lie in the centre of the courier triangle in the North East. To the north there is a Parcelforce depot on the outskirts of York, whilst another can be found to the south west in Rotherham and the closest depot can be found to the north of Scunthorpe. Its location, therefore, affords residents of Goole greater convenience than other, more coastal locations in the region. First time I used the service. Lots of useful information on getting the parcel ready and local delivery point very close. Much cheaper than the post office. Will definitely use again.
Simple enough to use however courier charged me extra £1.52 because a crochet blanket I sent was weighed in at 7kg instead of 1.4kgs (clearly impossible). The problem is as it is 3rd party there is no clear complaint route. The courier probably adds fees knowing it is too much work to complain for £1.52. I sent a different parcel at Christmas and it arrived damaged. Whilst those items were low value, again there was no clear way to complain. Bottom line, go direct to a courier or use the post office. It is clear that using a third party to utilise the service is detrimental to the customer experience.
