Given the effect of the devastation of the Soufriere Hills Volcano twenty years ago the economy of Montserrat has been significantly affected and the number of consignments sent to the country is far less than neighbouring islands. Montserrat shares similar courier prices to that of other islands in the Caribbean such as Antigua and Barbuda, Saint Kitts and Nevis, Guadeloupe and Dominica in that an economy service would take around a week and cost in the region of £33 to £35 - with no VAT payable. Our own brand Air Express is an economy option but with an express shipping time frame of just 5-7 days.
The premium, expeditious, Air Express service offered by DHL has an expected transit time of four to six days. Asendia is another option we can provide to the region but has a slightly slower time frame of 7-9 days.
The information we have states that you can send US $500 worth of gifts from individual to individual into the country before duties are due.
You should also attach one original and at least two copies of commercial invoices if sending purchased items into the country. Our booking requirements may stipulate a greater number of copies of invoices for a shipment to be accepted by the courier.
In addition to or already contained within our list of prohibited and restricted items you cannot explicitly cannot send antiques into the country. You also cannot send artwork or jewellery. You should also seek clarification from the relevant local authorities before trying to ship 'personal effects' into Montserrat.

Heavy box collected with fragile item from Lowestoft and delivered in Scotland (near Aberdeen) a few days later. I had written This side up on the box, but this was not always obeyed, as there was slight damage to the item. However the price was very good for delivery and the customer had a spare part, so was not unhappy.
DPD did what they said they would and the tracking process confirmed that.
