There are some considerations if you are shipping toys and games using a courier service.
Firstly when sending any parcel via a courier, you must check if the item you wish to have delivered is listed on the prohibited items provided by Parcel Monkey. This list is generated by all the couriers we work with to become a definitive list of things that can and can't be sent or to demonstrate items that can be shipped on a non-compensation basis.
It is unlikely toys would prove to be problematic to send via a cheap parcel delivery company but things like batteries are a no go. Sending items that contain batteries often caused parcels to be stopped or returned as they are often deemed not safe to fly, so we strongly advise where possible, to remove any battery from a toy or game you may be sending.
Likewise, liquids are prohibited because it can easily be the case that a liquid item could leak and damage the other parcels being sent by the courier as well as yours.
Parcelforce alongside other courier services we offer at Parcel Monkey have restrictions in place on the shipping of paintball, Nerf or toy guns for obvious reasons, whilst they also will not ship hover-boards or electric scooters. If you have any questions about any toys or games you want to send, ask our support team via Contact Us.
Parcel Monkey's cheap parcel delivery services are perfect for those selling second-hand toys, sending new toys, birthday or seasonal gifts and more.

We work with UK Mail for Next Day delivery as well as DX. The courier will come and collect from your home or work address so you don't have to queue at the Post Office or even leave the house. Parcelforce also offers a collected service, plus they bring the label to you so no need to print it out.
For those who prefer to Drop Off, Parcelforce allows you to drop into their depots and Post Offices at a time convenient for you, or DPD Pickup can be booked if you use our quote engine to compare services, and they have over 2,500 Pickup shops around the UK for you to choose from.
The sales of vintage and collectable toys are huge, with many shoppers looking to add to their retro collections. Some people would nervous of sending their expensive items so if you can ship it in the knowledge that it will arrive the following day or even add extra protection cover up to the value of £2,500 then a timed service like Parcelforce before 12 pm may suit your needs.
If you're sending your toys via a courier within the UK then the rules are pretty simple. However, when it comes to international parcel delivery it can get a bit more complex, for instance, Spain and France don't like parcels being sent to them when the toys contain copper sulphate. While Australia and Canada also have restrictions that you'll need to check, and sending rubbers that are shaped like food are a no go to many countries, as is sending any toys that resemble anything to do with war.
However, the majority of toys can be sent with no problem with carriers like DHL, Parcel Monkey Air Express as well as DPD. Parcelforce and more. If sending out of the EU, make sure you list exactly what you are sending and provide a detailed description of the toys on your customs documents, which we provide in the booking process. This will ensure the goods clear customs without a hitch.
Often charities send toys out of the UK as they can use our discounted shipping services to get boxes moved overseas.
It’s all in the packaging when it comes to sending toys, so follow our extensive guidelines. Any packages not prepared properly may be refused by the courier and also put your goods at risk.
Often the packaging that the toys were purchased in won't be enough as when they're transited to the stores they're often packed with other materials too. We suggest that you place them in sturdy corrugated cardboard boxes and use extra packing such as polystyrene peanuts or scrunched up newspaper at least. Don't allow any "wiggle room" - over packaged is better than under and be sure to measure the box correctly once it is packed before you get a quote.
