St Vincent is a volcanic island in the Caribbean. The island is located in between St Lucia and Grenada. St Vincent was originally claimed by the English and there are many English and French speaking residents on the island, however, there are a variety of different Indo-Vincentians who live on the island who enjoy an Indian heritage. The population of St Vincent is around 100,000, and the nation currency of St Vincent is the Eastern Caribbean dollar. St Vincent's economy is highly dependent on agriculture and Bananas alone account for 60% of the workforce. Like with many islands in the Caribbean, tourism also plays a big part in the economy with many people visiting from around the world.
Interestingly, despite being further down the Caribbean chain of islands, being alongside Barbados and just above Grenada delivery times are fairly quick by DHL at around two to three full days or three to five full days via our own Air Express service.
Prices for international shipping are also consistent with other islands in the chain further south at around £32 for a 1kg parcel via our own offering and £35 via Asendia whilst we also offer express parcel delivery by DHL.

Half the price of any other quote from all the main players in parcel mail. Got our parcel to SVG in less than 4 days....previous best time was 4 weeks! Well done well be using parcel monkey again.
I have used parcel monkey before to get a parcel to India for business which was at a reasonable price and got there within the allocated time with no problems. So I decided to use them to get a parcel to my Mum in St Vincent to send her tassimo coffee pods. I found a good price and delivery within 3-4 days. However, it was not the journey out but arriving in St Vincent that was the problems. DHL called my mother to pick up her parcel! I paid for a delivery service to the door as my mother is 80! They also made her pay customs of just over EC$26 to get the parcel as well as proving who she was. I am annoyed because it was not a commercial package and only a £20GP value and classed as a gift so I am not sure where it went wrong. I am not necessarily blaming Parcel Monkey but their partner DHL as I have used UPS before and it has been delivered right to her door with no problems! Parcel Monkey is easy and convenient to use and I will not let this experience stop me from using them for business or personal again.
