The Federal Republic of Somalia occupies much of the Horn of Africa and is just surrounded by Ethiopia, Djibouti and Kenya as well as the Gulf of Aden and the Indian Ocean. As with many countries in the northern part of Africa, it mostly populated by Muslims and has about 43% of the population living on less than $1 a day.
The capital Mogadishu is where the vast majority of imported goods end up being delivered to, but we offer delivery to regions across Somalia. The vast population of 10 million are likely to be reached as quickly as 6 days if you choose to book our DHL Express service, which is about as quick as is possible due to the lack of transport infrastructure.
The Parcel Monkey Air Express courier service offers delivery in 7 days and is cheapest for small parcels. For a 10kg parcel it is almost £100 cheaper than DHL Air Express but only takes one day longer to arrive so it will be no surprise to read it is the most popular international parcel delivery service to Somalia we offer.
As Somalia doesn't have a strong economy and isn't engaged in a great deal of international trade, we don't see a huge number of parcels being sent into the country - especially compared to other economies in the region. We do, however, have international parcel delivery prices essentially the same as those countries, although the length of time it takes to ship a parcel there is generally longer. Unit was delivered in working order to the Western Isles for an unbelievably cheap price!! had to track it myself and was informed it had arrived by customer before it was updated on the system.
I choose parcel monkey from doing continuous research on Google as too the best way for sending a parcel from UK to USA. Not only is their site easy to use, but they are considerably cheaper than any other site. This did make me doubtful initially, but all paperwork and labels were supplied and printable. The choice of having drop off or collection is great. I done drop off for a 10kg parcel to USA, dropped of on a Thursday afternoon and was delivered in the USA by Monday morning. Fully tracked from start to finish and for such a large bulky parcel was great. The only criticism I had was the recepient was informed from the minute the parcel was scanned which took the surprise element away from it. Although except that one criticism, the service was great.
