Here are some examples of prices to send a parcel to Mauritania. We have many options, so for a personalised quote please enter the weight of your item into the quote box below.
Mauritania is a large, desolate country occupying much of the Sahara in Western Africa and shares borders with Senegal, Mali, Algeria, Morocco and Western Sahara. Despite having a land mass of over one million square kilometres the population totals just over three million people. Given the geographic size of the country, it has a wide variety of resources but which are alas mostly untapped.
Unfortunately, Mauritania has one of the lowest USD GDP's in Africa - being 37th out of 52 with a total value of $4.2bns in 2011. As Mauritania starts to fully exploit its offshore oilfields one can only hope that the people of this expansive country start to reap the economic benefits.
When it comes to international parcel deliveries we can normally deliver your parcel on a two to four-day basis with DHL Air Express from around £65 or three to five days for roughly £32 for our own Parcel Monkey Air Express service.
For parcels to be accepted in Mauritania you will need an inventory of the parcel in French which has been signed and dated by the shipper and a letter of transfer and an "Attestation Reservation de cale". It is worth noting that personal computers are not accepted, valuable and personal items will be subjected to tariffs and import duties. Furthermore, alcohol is not permitted.
