Useful information for sending a parcel to the Czech Republic
The Czech Republic is one of many landlocked countries in central Europe with
Germany,
Poland,
Slovakia and
Austria surrounding it.
The former Communist state joined NATO in 1999 and then the European Union in 2004 - of course this means no additional import or export restrictions. This doesn't, however, mean that we can take for granted that we can freely send parcels to the Czech Republic without a thought to any rules and regulations that may prevail. You will see during the booking process that there will be a
Pro Forma Invoice (pdf) that you'll need to fill out for the customs authority.
If you do have any questions specifically related to trade with the Czech Republic, you might be best to visit the
Customs Administration of the Czech Republic website, and specifically
this page about Internet shops if you are an online retailer looking to send items sold to residents of the Czech Republic.
However, if you would like to contact them direct you can via:
Post: Budějovická 7, 14096 Praha 4
Telephone: +420 261 331 111
Email: podatelna@cs.mfcr.cz
When it comes to our courier prices for sending a parcel to the Czech Republic we can generally offer prices as low as £11.89 for a DHL Road Express on a three day from collection basis or £20.71 via Parcelforce. If you'd like a quicker delivery then you could try the DHL Air Express service which is labelled as a one day from collection service for £21.49. Obviously prices vary with the dimensions of your parcel.
