Can I send furniture via a courier?
Yes you can, but expect us to carry it on a no-compensation basis.

Our prohibited items list includes free-standing furniture as being one category of parcels that we can help you ship, but only on a no-compensation basis. The reason for this is that often furniture can be very expensive and susceptible for damage.

We'd love to guarantee that all furniture is packed with no chance of damage, but seeing as we're not involved in the packaging process, we just can't do that.

Furthermore, because we're talking about couriers who use automated and bulk systems, there is a chance that something may go wrong. As a responsible company we've done the calculations and have concluded that it'd be uneconomical for us to send furniture via a courier as we'd end up losing money.

Of course, we're a business and we can't do that, so we allow you to send a courier service for furniture, just we can't pay out any compensation if things do go wrong (within our terms and conditions)

What about other types of furniture?

Just as is the case with bikes, we can't arrange delivery for unboxed furniture. It stands to reason really as we're talking about a massive risk of damage. We don't think any of our customers would ever decide they would try and send un boxed furniture, but just to make sure, we've completely excluded that type of parcel from the types of parcels we can help get delivered for you.

What about heavy furniture? Do you offer a man and a van service?

Of course, we have the two service types that may be appropriate. You can choose our typical large and heavy couriers through Nightfreight. We do, however, have a specific Man and a Van service where you can specify a 60 minute collection time slot which can be at any time of the day or night which would be great for large items such as sofas, dinning tables, large book cases, computer desks, beds and TV stands.

This service is offered in three levels. You've got the small van option which will carry items up to 500kg in total weight and with a maximum of 1.2m in length. We've also go the Short-Wheelbase Transit option which will ship items up to 100kg in total weight with a maximum length of 1.6m. And we have the Long-Wheelbase Transit option which also carries items up to 1000kg but can deliver parcels up to 2.5m in length.
