Useful information for sending a parcel to Argentina

Over time, despite our political differences, Argentina has become an import trading partner with the UK and that's no surprise when 86.4% of the population have European ethnic origins.

Recently we have seen a steady growth in the number of shipments we send to Argentina for our customers. There doesn't seem to an overall trend in the contents of the parcels (we have to monitor for customs reasons) we help ship there, other than the usual household items and various types of business materials.

Understandably there is a concentration of deliveries to the major cities of Buenos Aires, Cordova, Rosary, Mendoza, Tucumán and La Plata.

The Argentina government has become increasingly protective over its domestic economy - mainly because as the country has become wealthier it has imported more consumer goods from abroad. 2010 saw a 46% surge in imported goods and as a result the government has placed import restrictions on 200 goods.

That list, however, doesn't included the items which are prohibited from import, these include, Spare parts, motorcycles and clothing. For a complete and update list of items we suggest you contact the Argentina Customs Services.
