Useful information for sending a parcel to Bosnia Herzegovina
Bosnia Herzegovina is a country, with a capital of Sarajevo, located on the Balkan Peninsula in Southern Europe and bordered by
Croatia, Serbia and Montenegro. Interestingly, it would be completely surrounded by other countries which formed the former Yugoslavia, were it not for a 16 mile stretch of coastline along the Adriatic Sea.
As many may remember from the 1990's the country has had a very troubled past due to the ethnic make of the country including Bosniaks, Serbs, Croats and Muslims which resulted in the Bosnian War which lasted from 1992 to 1995.
A result of the war is that the physical infrastructure was severely impacted upon. Despite the country going through a transition after the end of the Cold War, the former Soviet-Bloc country still has a very significant proportion of the population being employed by the military. Thankfully the economy has managed to focus attention after the war and has managed to attract good levels of foreign investments - mainly within the manufacturing and banking industries which have helped the economy significantly.
If you're doing business with one of these blossoming companies or you have friends or relations in Bosnia Herzegovina then you might like to take advantage of the cheap parcel delivery prices we have to the country. As Sarajevo is over 1,200 miles by road from London we don't offer a parcel shipping service by
road but we do have an
airmail service via
DHL. Prices to Bosnia Herzegovina start at about £17.49 for a 1kg small parcel one a one to two day service from the date of collection and increases to £67.99 for many 20kg bulky parcels.
