The time your parcel will be collected will depend on which service you've booked and with which carrier.
The majority of the collection courier services we use are collected from 8am to 6pm. All of our services, apart from City Sprint are collected only from Monday to Friday and no collections on Bank Holidays.
If this is not suitable to your needs there are ways around it such as booking a drop off service, with DPD Pick Up or you can use our Parcelforce Post Office and Depot options available via our quote engine, meaning as long as the store or drop off point is open, you can leave the items there and the courier will collect from that location. The tracking will reflect when the courier has your item in their network and you can folow it using our tracking tool or the couriers directly, by taking the tracking number from our system.
You can find the DPD Drop Off store opening times and Post Office and Depot opening hours, based on your post code, during the booking process as we will show you the nearest drop off point to your address.
In order to keep the cost of parcel delivery to a minimum our courier partners are not able to provide specific collection times. Collections are arranged in the most time efficient manner for the driver on their route and this may mean that you could be at the beginning, middle or end of the business day - which can be as late as 6pm, so fear not if the clock is ticking down. Please also check to see if they have left a card as you may of missed them during the day, if they have contact us so we can book the collection back in for another time, or you can use the tracking tool and see if there is any missed delivery scans on your tracking, again meaning leave us a message so we can reschedule your collection.
With our same day parcel delivery service, you can specify a half an hour time slot because you are essentially getting a man and a van service, where your delivery will be taken outside of the normal loop of collections and deliveries. Our Same Day courier partner is City Sprint and they collect 24 hours a day, 365 days of the year so they are always on hand to help!
Parcel not collected?
If you were expecting a collection and it has not taken place after 6pm, let our Live Chat team know or raise a support ticket so we can contact the courier due to pick the item up and get it re-booked in for the next available slot. Please let us do this on your behalf as we can manually do this on the system to avoid any confusion with the carriers, and they may not be willing to rebook a collection directly for you, as the order will of been placed by us. Our super, helpful team will get this fixed and your item collected as quickly as possible.
TIP: If your item is being collected in the week and you work, why not book the collection from your work address? Take the parcel to your work address and book it to be collected from there as if you are located there for the majority of the day, the driver is more likely to collect as we cannot offer a time slot early morning or in the evening for collections.
