Useful information for sending a parcel to Romania
Romania is a more recent entrant to the European Union than say either
Slovenia or
Slovakia who joined in 2004. Of course this means that the import rules have been harmonised between the member states. Unfortunately it doesn't mean that the level of information available on their website has been added yet. Their "
Assets sent by parcels" page has no content at all at the time of writing - which isn't much help.
What we can establish from other sources is that they currently have restrictions on some food items due to the contamination of E coli in some vegetables. As you're
prohibited from sending food-stuffs via Parcel Monkey anyway, this shouldn't be an issue for most of our customers.
