The classic perception is that most of the parcel delivery vans you see driving around are business couriers, but we're pleased to see a very significant of the orders we book on your behalf are home deliveries via our network of various courier companies.
Delivering to home addresses require different tools in our admin tool as missed-collections can be more frequent at these locations as there's normally always someone present to take delivery or collection at business addresses. Now we offer a 'Quick Rebook' tool for those customers, for one reason or another, haven't had their parcel collected.
Also, we're not a traditional home delivery network of couriers in that many people associate home delivery with the delivery of groceries from supermarkets such as Tesco, Asda, Waitrose, Morrisons and the like in that our conditions of carriage include a list of prohibited items which details food as one of the group of items we cannot deliver for you. This obviously also includes your late night take away from Pizza Hut, McDonalds and KFC.
Furthermore, we cannot ship other items that are traditionally delivered to home addresses such as flowers.
We can, however, accept items that the likes of Argos, B&Q, Ikea, Next deliver such as furniture, sofas, bookcases, freestanding wardrobes (on a no-compensation basis), beds, sports equipment, TVs (on a no-compensation basis), washing machines, bathroom fittings and the like.
Overall we offer a door to door courier service for customers that aren't businesses, it's just that you need to check that prohibited list first.
