When you start to get to items weighing 15kg or so then it becomes a hassle taking them to your usual supplier for parcel delivery so it makes sense to use couriers which offer a collection service. If you've got deadlines to reach or just can't easily carry a 15kg Le Crueset set, plus its packaging to the Post Office then we have a range of solutions and prices to suit your needs.
At this weight you're still able to send heavy parcels via the full range of companies we offer. You can still choose a City Link next day parcel delivery service for only £7.45 + vat, or if you prefer Parcelforce 24 for £7.25+ vat. Only at around 25kg does it generally become more cost-effective to switch over to NightFreight.
When you start to move into the heavy or bulky items then potentially you're moving into the list of items that could be prohibited. It's very important that you check that list before parting with any money. That includes large car components, motorcycle engines, outboard motors, trees.
Potentially these sorts of prices may apply to items such as dumbbells, a parasol base, a medicine ball, clothing, tools, etc.
As prices vary greatly for items sent abroad, we're not able to give general, indicative pricing. The best option would be to do a courier quote with your specific requirements and ensure that you check that you are able to send your items to the destination by checking for any import restrictions (we're currently building a resource centre for you).
